I'm fine with a small strike zone, as long as Willis gets the same zone. Contreras is aiming his pitches though. I wonder who the long man in the pen is.
I'll be happy if Poreda can be a stud set-up man. I like that he's starting so he can work on multiple pitches, but his future has to be in the bullpen.
I hate the term grinder with a passion, as it usually means the player isn't very talented. Nick Swisher is everything a grinder should be...but he's talented. It's been great to watch him so far this year, and it's refreshing to have his personality on what's a rather quiet team.
Giants, who have to own one of the two worst offensives in baseball (along with the Pirates) have walk off wins against the Padres bullpen the last two nights. I do love late night extra inning games on the extra innings package.
Mayo, D. Jordan, Joe Alexander going pro. Blake Griffin returning to school.
Still waiting on Hansbrough, Lawson, Chalmers, Arthur, Augustin, Rose, Westbrook, CDR, Chester Frazier, and Koufos.
It's ironic that Sisco had surgery today, as it ties into how much someone like Gload would help this roster right now. We're going to need a lefty bat off the bench to help us against tough righties. And when I say bat, I don't mean someone like Owens.

Yeah and nearly everyone on this board thought the season was going to be over, and even in September the playoffs started to be questioned with Cleveland's surge. Point is we're roughly 5% into the season with 95% left, so it's far from over. In terms of football it's basically like Detroit as lost the first game of the year and the season's over. It's far from other I won't count them out.
I still think the Tigers are the team to beat in the AL Central. The Indians don't look better than they were last year, and the Twins won't be very good. The White Sox and Royals will definitely win more games than they did last year.

Ely is gonna be starter, he got real good stuff, so he is a starter because that is his future role.
Ely's the type of pitcher you'd see on the Twins. 90-91 mph fastball, solid command, 3-4 pitches.

That's because most probably have you on ignore.
I didn't know we had the ignore function. That's cool, good for them. I honestly would love for anyone that has such a problem with me to PM me and discuss their difference of opinions. Some of the best conversations possible on this site are with people you completely disagree with. In the end, we're all White Sox fans. Sorry for the confusion tonight knightni with that Cubs post.

How is it baiting?
It's how you post.
Always posting like the dog of life took a s*** in your loafers.
What happened to only posting stuff with substance? I've never once been warned about my style of posting. Some people don't like it, others agree with it.

Looks to me more like you were bashing the Pirates than acknowledging the Cubs.
The 5-3 Cubs record wasn't accurate at the time, especially when I was told about Laroche's homer.
