QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 07:44 PM) Watch the offensive outburst tonite with Pablo and BA. Only Ozzie would play Ozuna against a righty instead of a lefty.

MacDougal's ERA is 2.16.....that made me laugh

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:41 PM) Oioles played situational hitting there with Huff grounding to the right side to advance the runner. But, the runner is on a with a soft single to left. I sure am tired of these soft hit or just wel placed hits from the opposition. Makes you wonder sometims if it's not defensive placement at fault? If PK doesn't bobble that, it's a double play (I know Millar was running, but he's slow as hell). The opposition is getting well placed hits because they're using the whole field.

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:37 PM) I can only hope so. All we gained from the 2005 season could be gone with another ~70 win season. Judging by attendance, any benefits of that WS are gone. It's time to get that excitement surrounding the organization back. Thankfully, they can't take away the WS banner or my DVDs.

QUOTE (GreatScott82 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:36 PM) todays offense sucks.... what a waist of a solid start by Danks. Anytime we have Ramirez and Hall in there to go along with Uribe, you knows its going to be a long day. I was thinking that before...I almost feel bad for Ozzie having to write those 3 names down in succession. However, it's his fault for those roster decisions he's made.

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) Who else thinks nothing will change until Kenny, Ozzie, and/or Walk are gone? I don't see why I should expect anything different. Hope for the best, but if they struggle this year, there's going to be a lot of changes.

Danks struggling with the 2 strike hits the past 2 innings. He might be tiring, similar to how he did in Cleveland.

QUOTE (Cowch @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:33 PM) If only everyone could hit like Toby Hall. 9 more outs to score some runs. If they lose this one I won't be too positive about the 2nd game. That said, how about another 1-2-3 for Danks. Trachsel's one of the worst pitchers in baseball. If we struggle against him, the team should just quit.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:33 PM) Am I reading MLB Gameday right that Ramirez was caught both stealing and picked off 1B? Or was that one in the same play? Same play, but it was an awful read.

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:32 PM) OCab doing his best Uribe impression. It's just too bad we didn't trade for Chone Figgins instead. I'd rather have Uribe at SS and Chone at 2b.

Cabrera continues to make way too many soft outs on first pitches. In an ideal offense, he'd be the #9 hitter. Plain and simple, this offense isn't good enough to compete this season, especially with Ozzie calling the shots.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 07:29 PM) If Owens starts, Quentin is back to being a 4th OF. Thats the problem. I expect Dye to go on the DL soon.

Nice effort by Uribe to pull the outside pitch again.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 07:26 PM) Anderson doesn't play enough to be considered on the roster. I'd be down for Owens over Alexei, but I don't trust that Owens would be used correctly. At least Owens might be able to get some base hits, something this team is lacking right now.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:24 PM) Yeah, Owens and Bourgeois, taking us to the promised land..... I'd much rather have Owens on the roster than Ramirez or Anderson right now.

QUOTE (Cowch @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:16 PM) This lineup really makes me sick. That 7-8-9 is really horrible. How about a DP Danks. They keep pointing to their record so far as reasons not to make changes. Ozzie's just too f***ing stubborn to shake things up.
-

That's a play that Uribe should have made.

QUOTE (Cowch @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 07:14 PM) Ugh. We need the offense to wake up. We need this organization to wake the f*** up and make some roster changes. Get rid of Uribe and Hall!

Ugh, we suck! Nice hanging change-up there. Dear Ozzie...do something about your bench, cause it's horrific!

And now Uribe forgets to cover 2nd base. Terrible throw by Hall though....another player who shouldn't be in the majors.

Don't worry, we have a 1/2/3 next inning that's hitting about .550 this season (combined).

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 26, 2008 -> 06:06 PM) Man, this is gonna be a tough year for the Cy Young. So many contenders! We've seen like, what, 6 in a row now? Haha, well said!

Have the Sox even hit a ball to the opposite field today? This is embarrassing.

I hate our TV announcers on deep fly balls.
