White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:22 AM) phoenix has been outscored 17-2 in the third quarter with only 2:49 to play in the third....ouch This has been just a terrible day all around.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:18 AM) really contreras had a nice outing i thought...boone was fine, the IF hit hurt us...what can you say, the yankees twice worked to a 2-0 count with runners on base, sat dead red on the fastball and capitalized while we didnt... We'll be fine if Contreras can pitch like he did tonight.

Think on the bright side....at least when Paul Konerko hit the grand slam in Game 2 of the World Series, his bat didn't break prior to the ball hitting it like Swisher's did.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 04:16 AM) Pretty pathetic outing tonight from the pitching staff, not sure getting those runs earlier woulda mattered if we're gonna keep walking the leadoff man It's what the Yankees do. We've faced some extremely impatient teams so far.

Ouch....hey Cooper, stay in the dugout next time. Gotta go get them tomorrow. We're not facing the Tigers anymore.

QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 04:14 AM) Ozzie totally f***ed up that inning. This team has left 9 guys in scoring position....they don't deserve to win.

QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:12 AM) What I am saying is, we still have a shot in this game. Call me an optimist. Why not bring in Linebrink to hold these guys at 6 runs. If Ozzie values Linebrink that much, then he should bring him in to face Jeter in that situation last inning like Girardi did with Chamberlain.

QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:08 AM) Wow. So you are saying there is no shot at us comign back in this game?? Nice attitude. No, but not a lot of managers pitch their main set-up man in a game that they're down 2 (especially when it's a longshot against a great bullpen).

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
Down 2 in the 8th with Chamberlain and Rivera to come, you need to save Linebrink for the rest of the series.

QUOTE (TitoMB345 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:04 AM) Every night, I pray that when I wake up the next morning I hear some kind of injury to Uribe. Its the only way that dumbass is gonna ride the pine. I hope he eats himself into a coma one night, and can't play for 4 months. For someone that had a signature remembering their friend that died in a car crash, I'm shocked to see this type of post.

CNN seems to think it's going to be a double digit win now. If the Sox go on to lose, this was quite a s***ty night.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 04:01 AM) after Joba doesn't throw a strike to Quentin, and then walks crede with the bases loaded...first pitch hacking at breaking ball, granted he hung it a bit, but WTF juan I'm happy he swung, it's the worst pitch Chamberlain might throw all year. It's just too bad Uribe was trying to go profoundo.

QUOTE (Fotop @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 04:01 AM) Man, it would have been nice to have someone to PH for Uribe...too bad our bench options in that situation weren't much better. At least we have Pablo and Ramirez on the bench!

QUOTE (DBAH0 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:58 AM) Quentin had a .896 OPS against righties before this game. Why would you pinch hit for him? It wasn't for CQ, it was for that guy batting in the 9th spot.

Can Toby ph for Uribe? Nice AB by Crede.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:57 AM) Dam how many we gonna leave on base? If Crede makes an out, that will be 9 left in scoring position.

Horrible AB by Quentin. Didn't even make him throw a strike.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
Times like this I really wish we had a lefty PH on the bench.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:53 AM) that'd be boone. He needs to get confidence in that slider again.

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:51 AM) MacDougal hasn't been as bad as some are stereotyping him to be. When does he pass Dotel? It will never happen. Ozzie really needs to start using Thornton more. It's very possible he's our 2nd best reliever.

JD seems to be very upright at the plate. He's not reaching that low pitch.
