White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 12:55 AM) This is where the Sox really miss having an actual major league hitter at 2B, Don't you love it when you're wrong like that!

QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:53 AM) Speaking from a Sox fan's perspective, when have the Yanks been likable? I didn't mind them prior to getting ARod. I respect Jeter.

QUOTE (daa84 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) you think they should start him? i think i actually agree with hank that he should start...i mean, why take it cautious with Joba but not Hughes and Kennedy? Jobas got 3 well above average pitches ... No, I think you keep him in the 7th/8th inning, and make it a 6 inning game. People underestimate how much this can help your starting pitching.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:50 AM) but you're a closet yankee fan I hate this Yankees team...very unlikeable. Hawk almost said Stretch on a fly ball 50 feet from the fence.

QUOTE (SoxWS05 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:47 AM) That's what they're saying about Dotel/linebrink/Jenks. Joba is just a tad bit better than Linebrink or Dotel.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:45 AM) Last week Contreras was actually throwing with a little velocity... so, was it a bomb or fence scrapper? Opposite field, about 5 rows deep.

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 12:43 AM) well.. hopefully we get wang outta the game sooner rather then later Yeah, that Joba/Rivera tandem at the end is bad!

89 mph fastball and no command of his forkball is going to equate to a short night for Mr. Contreras.

Very nice approach by PK. Big situation for Dye to deliver.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 12:32 AM) What is it with Cabrear and his hitting approach anyway. Isn't this a guy with .300 av last year? He's a career hitter in the .270 range.

First of many double plays tonight. If we sit around and wait for the homer, Wang's going to dominate us.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 01:14 AM) it was scored a hit... just saying. How is a 2 hopper right at someone considered a hit? I feel bad for Contreras' ERA.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 12:14 AM) Game thread is dead and Chat is hopping. I suggest going there to discuss tonight's game. I tried to access chat, but can't. I don't think java's working for me.

Contreras doesn't have a good forkball so far. This might be a long night.

That's not an error? Holy cow!

More terrible defense. Konerko needs better balance on these grounders.

CNN can't project, as they're saying it's very competitive. That has to be good news for Obama.

Sox should look to hit and run all night, as Posada is struggling throwing the ball, and Wang can induce a ton of double plays.

Fukudome's pretty special so far. Once the Cubs realize he should be batting 2nd, Lee and Ramirez are going to get a ton of RBI chances.

QUOTE (Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) Wow ... I thought the Brewers improved their bullpen. They did improve the depth, but Gagne's just awful.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 08:41 PM) BTW, Pujols is playing 2nd.... Wow, that's awesome. Do the Brewers have the first bullpen where every guy has been busted for steroids? Gagne/Mota/Turnbow....but I'm sure Torres is clean

My last prediction is 56-44. My father took care of someone from the Obama camp last night in the ER, and they were pessimistic about the next few days.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 08:28 PM) In case anyone was curious, Gagne is still horrible. He just blew another save I still can't decide which team to root for when they play each other. The Brewers still have a lot of the bad mojo they had the 2nd half last year (costly errors, bad managerial decisions, etc).
