Phillies need a 3rd baseman, right? Can we trade Crede for Chase Utley?

QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 01:22 AM) Not to sound sexist, but ESPN is having a woman do color for the Houston/Jazz game tonight. Is it wrong the it is annoying to me when women announce men's games? I'm going to hell. If it's Doris Burke, I really hope you don't have HD. And if it's Pam Ward....I don't think she counts as a woman.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 01:20 AM) They're wearing out the spot between Juan and PK. The one thing I'll give Uribe is that he's fun to watch on defense at 2nd base.

Might be time to get Masset or MacDougal up.

QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 01:18 AM) this game is over mark has good stuff, not questioning his ability but, soft-tossers are just the type of pitchers that this TB lineup excels against Actually, soft tossers should be able to keep young hitters off-balanced. It's usually the dead fastball pitchers that get rocked by young hitters. To say he has good stuff is false...there's no snap on his pitches.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 12:14 AM) Except this is a pretty crappy Sox lineup. GIDP. Another quick inning. Where does this rank among the worst 7-8-9 in Sox history? Dick Allen, this question is right down your alley.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 12:13 AM) Alexei really needs to be in AAA receiving regular playing time. Maybe when Richar gets healthy. I don't get what they're trying to prove with him on the big league club right now.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 01:11 AM) Way to get us started off Joe. Come on CQ. Beautiful swing. BTW, did anyone hear Rongey say that he thought Crede would get a 5 yr, 75 mil contract?

Hey SSI....just a quick note, but tomorrow's starter vs the Sox is supposed to have the best slider in the AL so far this season.

QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 12:08 AM) This is looking like the 3rd blown game this week. Pretty bad. The first two games were blown, and games we surely should have won. This is just an ass kicking so far by Tampa.

Three straight games of god awful defense. Hopefully we can get the positive defensive mojo back starting tomorrow.

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 01:03 AM) yeah that was f***ed up!!! OCab caught it and threw it...I've never seen someone do that. Ocab needed to run his ass back to first. Where is the gold glove Defense? Seriously...he looks pretty average out there...then you throw in a couple bone head plays and it makes him seem even worse. If this is the way he played defensively when he won the GG, then Uribe was robbed of the award more than Crede has ever been.

Goodness...we deserve this for this lineup we have out there.

QUOTE (BearSox @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 01:04 AM) That is why we need Richar to get healthy. He will add a lot to the offense, IMO. You actually think Ozzie would play Richar over Uribe? Richar was in the doghouse prior to his injury. Uribe is this year's Erstad.

PK isn't picking up his pitches at all. This seems like one of those games. Disappointing, as Edwin Jackson has been damn good this season. Yankees series is going to be tough, as we face Wang in first game.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 01:00 AM) The low and away attack ( Joe Mays solution to shutting down a whitesox offense ) is on tonight. We desperately need to add another lefty hitter to our roster. This righty dominant lineup is going to struggle against RHP with good offspeed stuff.

Here comes the inning to get to Sonnanstine. I can't see us winning tonight unless the 3-4-5 show up.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 12:53 AM) Either way, MB doesn't look good tonight. Not getting hit overly hard, but he's getting hit. What happened to his diving change-up that he always used to throw?

QUOTE (peanut33tillman @ Apr 20, 2008 -> 12:50 AM) On a side note...anyone else see Gomes and how much of an ass he looked like? Dear god crossing home and congratulating Hinske on his knock one wouldve thought they were on their way to their first ever play off appearance....lord act like you've done it before, though they're the rays I guess what can one expect? Gomes is a great guy. Their crowd's into it tonight, so kudos to him.
