White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
QUOTE (DonnyDevito @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:46 AM) When the White Sox don't play the Tigers, what are they....500? That's the key. The tigers were TERRIBLE early on and we got them 6 times. That's why this is a big stretch of games here. We'll see what kind of team the White Sox are when they're not beating up on the toothless tigers. Our starting pitching has been excellent though. That alone is reason to be optimistic.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:44 AM) Dotel didn't do a horrible job, he got a rightie to K And then allowed a grand slam. I'm sure you have higher expectations than that.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:42 AM) God, i'm in a sky is falling mode right now, I can't believe how poorly that inning was handled The first really bad job of handling his pitchers this season. I'll take that if it's once every 20 games. Sooner than later, he'll learn that Dotel is all reputation right now.

QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:39 AM) I'm kinda glad our lineup is loaded with fastball hitters. I actually would like to see our chances vs. Joba. I'd rather see Farnsworth

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:37 AM) That one is on Ozzie but whats pathetic is how many are calling this a loss already . Since when are games 6 1/2 innings long ? Joba and Rivera = tough team to comeback against

QUOTE (frankie5angels @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:37 AM) If Ozzie was gonna bring in Dotel, he should have just let him start the inning. I don't think I would have kept Jose in there for the seventh. i was questioning why he didn't bring in Dotel in the 7th. It's Contreras....he has the longest leash in baseball.

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:35 AM) all yankee games seem so long... It's called taking pitches throughout your entire lineup (and not just half of your hitters).

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 02:31 AM) didn't dotel give up a granny in CLE? 3 run game winning double. He might have the slowest fastball out of anyone in our bullpen.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 03:29 AM) I guess Ozzie was too lazy to make another walk to the mound for a pitching change. Way to earn your salary Dotel. Dotel is terrible. He's lost 5 mph off of his fastball and has very little in terms of offspeed stuff. And now he brings in Thornton. You suck Ozzie!

Negative Catch All ~ House of Blues
Ozzie blew this game badly. Abreu is just so much more dangerous against righties, and lefties get a great look at Dotel's miserable stuff. Dotel = waste of money.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
Dotel and this 91 mph crap isn't going to cut it. I can't believe Ozzie screwed this one up.

Good going Ozzie. What a terrible piece of managing.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
Abreu was .200 OPS points higher vs RHP last year. Where in the f*** is Thornton?
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
K on some type of cut fastball. Bring in Thornton to face Abreu?

I'll be very happy if this game is tied after this inning.

White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
Ugh, infield single. I have no idea why he didn't throw the slider.
-
White Sox vs. Yankees, 4/22, 7:11, CSN
Got to 2-2 without throwing the slider...give it to him Boone!

We seem to have left at least 7 runners in scoring position so far tonight.

If Cabrera's going to be swinging at the first pitch, he needs to take a better hack than that.
