  1. FWIW next scheduled LHP is 9/11 vs Cardinals. Pham leading off would be the worse thing to ever happen on that day (yes, sarcasm)
  2. You really don’t think he’s not going to be starting in a corner OF spot against LHP? I wouldn’t call that the 28th man. And yes, they should have known at the deadline that hitting LHP with their outfield was a huge issue. I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s batting leadoff against LHP next time they face one (which doesn’t look for a long time actually)
  3. It’s strange because they supposedly loved him prior to 2025. I think this is more Venable adores Pham.
  4. Sure, and that’s why they needed another corner outfielder at the deadline.
  5. I don’t think he’s a bad clubhouse guy. I do wonder how the fit will be on a team that is unserious in the dugout in a good way. I’m not really worried though, Vasil has the power of the wand
  6. I spy Jo Adell
  7. Biggest issue I have is that he’s just not good anymore. Hate this habit of acquiring players who are having terrible seasons and putting them into a pennant race.
  8. Potentially yes, as if they make the postseason, they’re possibly going to see a lot of LHP (Yankees, Red Sox, Guardians, Orioles)
  9. By sub do you mean PH or being a platoon guy?
  10. fathom replied to BamaDoc's topic in FutureSox Board
Yep, outside of looking to see how Bonemer did, I don’t think I’ve ever been less interested in how the minor leaguers are doing. That’s fine though, futuresox still does a great job of covering it all.
  11. He’s replacing one of the starters vs LHP (which needs to happen)
  12. Antonacci now is at -11.2 fWAR defensively (only behind Torkelson) and -7 OAA. I give him credit for trying out there, but I don’t think this is a long term solution.
  13. Orioles win again as Cowser with one of the best defensive plays you will ever see
  14. Yep, said it was one of his favorite players
  15. He’s a Braden or Ant replacement vs LHP
  16. I’ve said this before, but Taylor just doesn’t look like a starter to me. Leave him in this role, he’s so damn valuable. How about trading Braden and more for a starter and signing Seiya?
  17. can’t wait to see these amazing changes for Doyle. He looks like a DFA candidate to me.
  18. Really wish they tried Bonemer in CF earlier in the year in AA.
  19. Just wish there was more certainty in starting pitching going forward. I’m confident they can field a good offense, even if a few of the starters now will be replaced.
  20. Have a game Doyle. I could have done what he did
  21. Here’s the big problem with the Doyle acquisition. Getz knew at the deadline this outfield SUCKS hitting LHP. Instead of finding someone that can be relied upon to not be mediocre against LHP, he got one of the worst hitters in all of baseball.
  22. Yep, given the slumps for a lot of the guys we were hoping would be studs in the years to come, it would be hard to really judge the trajectory. Obviously it’s been an incredible year in terms of win improvement.
  23. Common them with some of these guys. Still think it’s ridiculous they’re not putting Chase closer to the plate.
  24. There’s just no rhythm to his swing. I’ve been watching highlights from earlier in the year, and it’s insane how much he’s pulling off the ball and cutting off his swing.
  25. Astros pitching has sucked and the Sox just can’t do anything with it
