Given the way this season has gone, Burke will pitch an inning and then there will be a 2 hour delay and Sox will need 8 innings of relief

Jimmy, do you think they’re developing them to be 2-3 inning relievers as some sort of market inefficiency?

Mune makes him look like Arraez

Just looking at the game logs for Castillo here, it’s crazy how much stress he’s put on the relievers. Already saw two games where Hagen and Taylor had to pitch almost 4 combined innings in a game.

I don’t blame Getz for Brazoban. That is a case where the pitcher has just underperformed. The Castillo trade is one I will never understand. Crippling for 2026 and 2027.

McDougal was awful after getting sent down

Cash should be MOTY. He does a great job with that team.

Sadly, this year probably made Jerry love him even more. I expect very little in terms of offseason moves. I can’t see any offensive starters being added. Probably a few relievers, that’s it.

So tomorrow, you basically have Schultz and Castillo as your relievers. I’d imagine no Newcomb, Hudson, Hagen or Hicks. Please rain

Seems he’s in love with the 2 strike high fastball

They’ve used plenty of resources on pitching prospects. The results from Bannister have been very disappointing.

Wild Card or bust. I think the pitching is so gassed, gonna be hard to go 5-3. Team has the look of one that is just waiting for something bad to happen every game.

19-2 was the Tigers baserunner advantage in the last 6 innings

Need to stop complaining about the division, as the AL West looks just as bad

Not making the postseason would be awful given the way the first 4 months went. No one was expecting a World Series team, but a ton of momentum has come to a screeching halt

Castillo is as bad of a deadline deal as I can remember

Rather have a DH on Sunday. More time for relievers to recover.

Getz

Yeah he’s never going to play for the big league team.

This is where even a bad Castillo should have been able to give you 6 innings, 4 runs. Instead, he’s just wasting a roster spot.

You also need to develop your top prospects. Not getting a single reliable starter out of Schultz, Smith and the Cease trade is a huge black eye on the organization.

I doubt it’s historic

Isn’t Burke starting? Also I still think it will get ppd

I said this the other day, but this is also why no other team has their bullpen guys throw 40 pitches from time to time
