  1. Josh Fields with a nice 3-5 night with a double, while Sweeney went 0-5 with 3 strikeouts.
  2. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 23, 2007 -> 01:50 AM) Again you have read prob 2-3 articles about him and have no idea what kind of person he really is if you get to know him. He might be a scumbag, and if i was able to pick any one person in the MLB it wouldnt be him. But you make a lot of comments about someone that you have no clue about. Its different from Bonds because Bonds is in the media spotlight everyday giving you a little bit more idea to see the kind of person he is. Still someone who judges Bonds just solely what they see on TV is an equally ignorant person. As friends with someone that was around Dukes for 2 years, he's got a worse attitude than people give him credit for.
  3. That should be it for Danks. He battled tonight without his good stuff, and he got some timely double plays.
  4. Ugh....Danks needs to pitch over that error and keep us with a big lead. Even on routine pop ups tonight, the ball is really jumping.
  5. QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:52 AM) Bulls pick 9th ?????? Diehard Celtics fan who has been gushing about Oden and Durant for two decades now it seems. QUOTE(TheOcho @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:53 AM) Hello beautiful... Overrated Good grief Danks....keep the ball down and throw more strikes.
  6. Oh, how I hope Portland gets Durant or Oden to go with my favorite backcourt in history.
  7. Bill Simmons might have just killed himself.
  8. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:48 AM) Ya, we missed him. He sees more pitches in most at-bats than our 3-4-5 did during an entire inning when he was gone.
  9. At least Iguchi gave Thome a chance to do some damage.
  10. Holy cow, who are these guys? Not so sure Mackowiak should have been sent, but it worked out.
  11. Hawk's already talked of Dwight Evans and Ted Williams tonight. Can Catfish and Al Kaline be far behind? That definitely looked like strike 3. This umpire has a very tiny zone, which will really help the patient A's. Ugh....Danks doesn't have good offspeed stuff so far tonight. Needs to throw more curves and less change-ups.
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ May 23, 2007 -> 12:28 AM) Really? I though it was gonna be farther than it was. Sarcasm.....thought it would go farther also.
  13. I couldn't tell if Dye hit that hard enough to get out. I love having Thome back!
  14. Pretty poor attempt by AJ there. Very nice! Hopefully the offense shows some patience against Lewis.
  15. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ May 22, 2007 -> 10:42 PM) I'm pretty sure that's wrong. I remember when he hit 102, and DJ and Hawk said something like "102?!" as the pitch was caught by the catcher. The pitch that was hit for a double to RF was the next pitch, or a few pitches later. Richie Sexson was at the plate, and we threw out Ichiro at home to preserve the lead and won that game. It might be the last time we threw someone out at home off of a relay.
  16. QUOTE(southsida86 @ May 22, 2007 -> 10:31 PM) Speaking of velocity, Jose and Javy have been down this year too. Jose has been 88-91 most of the time and Javy has been 89-92. both were mid 90s last year. I'm kind of worried about Javy, but not as much about Jose given his age. Neither of them was close to being in the mid 90s during the 2nd half of last year. At the most, both have lost about 2 mph consistently on their fastball. Same goes with Jenks and Aardsma.
  17. Erstad had some clutch hits tonight....the balance in the offense seems so much better with AJ batting 6th or 7th instead of 3rd. Logan with another big out.....but please stop letting him face righties!
  18. Nice catch by Terrero there battling the lights.
  19. Well....this is just super. Jenks got nothing tonight, as he's not following-thru.
  20. Wow....this is ugly. Shocked he didn't throw the 2-2 hook, as that's been his out pitch.
  21. QUOTE(SoxAce @ May 22, 2007 -> 03:04 AM) I call bulls***. s***, I obviously meant righties. I trust Logan against lefties more than anyone on the team.
  22. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ May 22, 2007 -> 03:00 AM) Ok, then boone wasn't brought in to face a righty, fathom. I don't know swisher's career splits, however. They were saying Swisher hits for a better average against lefties. It's not so much how the hitters from that side.....it's just that Boone doesn't have the type of stuff that will fool lefties.
