QUOTE(BearSox @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:44 AM) He should get booed. He was a lazy hotdog. Him getting traded was a great day. Such irony here. He was one of the 5 best hitters in the Sox organization over the last 20 years. Pods is just as lazy as he is....with 1/1000000th of the talent.

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:41 AM) I truly believe the worst-case scenario these next few weeks would be for the White Sox to perform well against the National League, and perhaps give management the illusion this team has turned itself around. Then there's the possibility Williams resists trading Buehrle or anyone else. It makes losing SO MUCH EASIER. I'll make the prediction now that this Yankees team ends the season 7 games better than the Sox.

And That's A White Sox Loser
I'd gain so much respect for Ozzie if he just pulls the names out of a hat for the lineup tomorrow. There's no one that has any right to argue with their recent performance. He says he wants them to have fun, but they seem to be playing not to lose.

He wasn't on the Rangers when we played him after the trade last year, was he?

Bullpen
There's been others that have been worse. If there's an important out to get with 4 outs or less left in the game, we have to get Jenks in the freaking game. Also, Boone should be the lefty specialist. I'd like to see Thornton get to start more innings, as I think he gets preoccupied with runners on base. The rest of the righties in the bullpen are a joke, and KW should be fired instantly.

What type of reaction do you think he'll get tomorrow? Will people boo him for no reason?

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:30 AM) They might compete for a playoff spot, nothing more than that. Their farm system is nothing special either. Look at that team though...they don't have the glaring holes that we're going to over the next few years. All their main positions will be filled, and Pie is leaps and bounds better than any of our jabronis. I'm sure their new owner will have no problem having a massive payroll.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:28 AM) If KW and Ozzie and JR and Reifert and all the rest of them aren't totally embarrassed right now, shame on them. They had such an opportunity to take over this city, and pissed it away. I'm going to catch some s*** for this, but the Cubs are easily going to be the superior Chicago team over the next 3 years. That team has a ton of talent, and they're actually playing some good ball now. Once they get ARod next year, they're going to have an incredible team. Fire away on me now, I can take it.

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
Is it me, or did Gonzalez just not catch that on the fly? Looks like he played the short hop, even though he should have caught it normally.

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
Haha....that's symptomatic of when you have such a s***ty bench that you have to put someone over there that's never played there. This team has quit on Ozzie.

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
I've been patient in terms of saying blow it up all year, but after tonight, it's time to drastically change the look of this team. This team just isn't good. Dye should be the first one to go.

QUOTE(kwolf68 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:22 AM) Jose leaves in the 8th inning having yielded 1 run with 2 runners on...less than 5 outs later there are 8 runs on the board. This team is not entertaining me. Happens about twice a week these days. This sounds bad, but I'd rather still see MacDougal and Aardsma up over these losers. At least they have a chance to get back on track and being MLB caliber relievers.

QUOTE(quickman @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:21 AM) MLB players versus minor league players. We now know what the KC fans have been going through. I was just typing that. Buckvich vs ARod....who in the hell do you think is going to win that battle?
-
White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
Things have gotten so bad that we have people in the crowd running on the field to try and hit against our relievers.
-
White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
Haha....KW and Ozzie really should be out of a job. This is some of the poorest managing and general managing I've ever seen.
-
White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
I'm not sure how much blame he should receive, but Ozzie has tha magic touch these days with his moves.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:15 AM) I can't believe somebody is ignorant enough to say Konerko's contract was dumb. Unreal. Fields is going yard to leadoff the 9th. It will be 8-4 then.

QUOTE(briguy27 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:11 AM) yep dumbest thing. that 12 million hes makin this year is worth it Well, at least you agree it was the dumbest thing. Hey santo....did you get my wedding invitation?

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
I wonder if Ozzie will let Dye ph next inning? I really hope he does let him hit.

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:06 AM) For a team with a payroll over $100 million, the Sox sure do have a lot of guys who really are below average. Ha, I've been saying that all year. Where is all of our money going? Sadly, this is the year where injuries have finally caught up to the depth.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:06 AM) OPS: 7th inning: .962 8th inning: .833 9th inning: 1.317 within 1 run: 1.128 tie game: 1.144 RISP: 1.074 RISP w/2 outs: 1.167 Kalapse, am I missing anything? Then why can I not think of a single time he came up clutch in the 8th or 9th inning? I have a great memory with that type of stuff, and I really can't think of anything.

BTW, Torre deserves a lot of credit for bringing in Jeter to leadoff the 8th inning. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 03:04 AM) go for it AJ - I'm glad to see someone with some emotion on this team Yeah, but let's not be the Cubs and argue when the call is blatantly correct.

White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
That first pitch was a perfect strike.
-
White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
Typical Sox at-bat in the clutch....take the strike down the plate, swing at the balls. Why's AJ acting like a dick now?
-
White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
Superstar play by Jeter....not!
