If they're going to make him be a starter, they're going to have to make him into a sinker baller and have him throw more in the 92 range than in the upper 90s.

Just watched some video of Porda on mlb.com. Not a lot of life on his fastball, which explains the low K rate. Cooper doesn't have have a good track record with teaching lefties good offspeed pitches.
