White Sox vs Yankees, 6/7/07 (L)
QUOTE(quickman @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 01:24 AM) You don't like the way we drafted? Nope...we have more pitching depth in the minors than offense, yet we don't draft a single offensive player? The first 3 pitchers we took were fine....the last two were horrible picks. Meanwhile, the Tigers gave themselves a great chance to have an incredible rotation in a few seasons.

Shaping up to be another terrible baseball day. Sox lose, Cubs win, Tigers/Indians win....combine that with an average draft, and I'm looking for a positive today.

One of the worst at-bats I've ever seen from Konerko. It's really starting to set in how bad this team is.

Why are so many of our hitters chasing his knuckle curve?

BTW, it's been 15 games since Iguchi had an extra base hit (he has been hitting better lately).

Contreras is making some terrible 0-2 pitches this inning with his forkball. It's resembling the forkball he was throwing at Minnesota, where it's just a floater.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 12:57 AM) We all know you aren't the biggest Ozzie backer, but how in the hell do you blame him for this ever so talented team we have on the field? It doesn't matter....you can have 9 AAA players on the field, but if they look and play like they don't care, then that's the manager's ass to. Everyone used to say how great of a motivator Ozzie was. Well, it's time for him to do something to get this team going. For starters, can we just stop trying to make sure our leadoff hitter has no skills except for running? Owens is a terrible MLB hitter, yet we keep making sure he gets the most at-bats out of anyone. I wonder how many two strike hits we can allow. Will this be the 3rd straight game where the Yanks put us away with a big inning?

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 12:55 AM) I honestly don't remember a team as lifeless as the current one, at least not in my lifetime. And our bullpen is just plain bad. At what point does our manager start getting called out for how lifeless this team is?

I hate watching this offense. Owens might be the worst hitter out of everyone we've called up in the past few years (not counting Molina, who should have never been above A ball).

Where does this lineup rank among the worst the Sox have put on the field in the last 10 years?

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 8, 2007 -> 12:50 AM) Adam Russell had an ERA of 6 plus in the MAC. And Danny Wright was like 1-18 in his career at Arkansas.

He's one of the worst 2nd baseman I've ever seen. He makes Jeff Kent look good. Please KW....don't bring back Iguchi.

What more does Cintron have to do to prove he should be on the DL?

How about we put Owens in the 9 spot instead of leading off? He hasn't drawn a single walk yet. Another pathetic inning for our hitters.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 11:55 PM) The phrase "violent throwing motion" is somewhat concerning. I know virtually nothing about this guy, but poor mechanics (which I assume is implied by the throwing motion comment) tends to preclude injuries/arm troubles. He's always has had that motion. He's had no arm problems that I've known about.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 7, 2007 -> 11:34 PM) Good things I hope fathom. I'll be surprised if he ever makes the majors. It's still a solid pick for that slot.
