  1. This is so freaking embarrassing. It's really a good thing we didn't keep Eduardo Perez on the roster. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 13, 2007 -> 06:36 PM) This offense has no bite I have a feeling our winning ways lately have masked all these issues in the front office, and no chances are even being considered. It's fascinating though to see De La Rosa keep everything down, and Vazquez throwing everything up.
  2. Everything by Javy is up and away. His fastball's also clocking in at a weak 89 mph. He's not sharp at all.
  3. Some more great at-bats by our offense. Ozuna's swing is so messed up right now....you can tell on his follow-thru that he's using all arms, and isn't getting his body into the swing at all.
  4. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 13, 2007 -> 04:22 PM) Would you accept a .000 batting average if it came with a quality start from the pitcher? That would be kinda funny if Molina went the entire season without a hit. Yes....an offense should be able to get more than 3 runs even in the NL (which is what Molina is, the pitcher hitting). Ozuna's at DH, Sweeney's in CF batting 7th.
  5. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 13, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) Thome isnt going to be back for awhile, his swings were called "tentative" I'll be pleasantly stunned if he plays 2 consecutive games during the month of May. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 13, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) Sweeney: .276 .364 4 walks 3 k's How many pitches per at bat does this kid see? Its unreal that he is already that developed in the judgement dept. Sweeney's going to strike out looking on occasion due to taking so many close pitches. That's fine, as long as he doesn't pull a Pods and let it happen seemingly every other game. I was so impressed with his ability to lay off two, 3-2 offspeed pitches in the dirt last night.
  6. Gustavo with another chance to get his first hit....and it might be his last chance. My predicted lineup is: Ozuna, Uribe, Dye, Konerko, Crede, Iguchi, Terrero, Gonzalez, Molina

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 13, 2007 -> 04:07 AM) I'd love Grudz and Eckstein. Grudz Eckstein Erstad Mmhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I would have to mute my TV forever if we got Eckstein. Hawk's love affair for him would make Erstad resemble Brian Anderson.
  8. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 13, 2007 -> 04:17 AM) I think Cintron's struggles and this bereavement list stuff are not a coincidence, his mind is elsewhere. Take care of your mind Alex and get back here as focused as possible. I think the offseason surgery has had a huge impact on his strength.
  9. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 13, 2007 -> 02:35 AM) That's one of the stupidest things I've heard all year. I'm surprised at you. Andy Gonzalez over Iguchi? Please. Tadahito has been garbage but let's not go nuts. I didn't mean for the season....just for this game on Sunday vs a lefty.
  10. Great base running by Terrero, as the pitcher almost caught that.
  11. Whew! End this freaking game.
  12. Pitch outs are overrated.... you have to know the Royals know how long it takes him to deliver to the plate.
  13. Ugh, MacDougal continues to look awful.
  14. Anyone find it weird on Uribe's double how they never showed Erstad? For a second, I was worried that he thought it was a homer and didn't keep running hard. Hawk's reaction was so strange.
  15. Fantastic control of the offspeed stuff by Sisco tonight.
  16. AJP with way too long of a swing.
  17. Wow, he missed by inches. Great swing Juan!
  18. Juan...just flip one over the right field fence.
  19. Where was this strike zone the whole game?
  20. Another productive game for Iguchi. He can't leave soon enough.
  21. Hopefully they'll try and throw inside to Iguchi, and hit him with the pitch.
  22. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ May 13, 2007 -> 01:51 AM) Gload would've hit a granny. Nice job Thong Song. Now let's win it! He did have quite the grand slam last year.
  23. Nice job by Sisco. Can we at least get a hit to tease me?
  24. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 13, 2007 -> 01:48 AM) Uh no. We have enough of that approach on the team. Ask Gooch what pulling does. He has gotten progressively worse with his hitting as he has had more time to work with our coaches. His first time up against Johan santana he hits the ball the other way. Now 2 years later he looks just as foolish as pullem paulie. I trust Sweeney a lot more though...it's all in the hips. The times he hasn't cleared his hips on inside pitches this year, he's hit weak grounders on the infield. When he's opened up on the slow stuff, he's hit rockets.
  25. Great.....now a walk scores a run.
