I wish there was reason for optimism about this offense for the next few years. When Konerko, Thome, and AJP are the only people you know will be here in two years, that's troubling. Mackowiak helps out Farnsy by swinging at ball 4 twice. Farnsy must have thrown about 5 legit strikes that entire inning. Thank heavens Mackowiak is our 5th hitter with all of his power.

Contreras got by a lot longer with his mediocre fastball a lot longer than I thought he would. Our starting pitchers are getting into a bad habit of giving up runs right after we score them. Oh well, I'm happy with a split today.
