Rumors I'm hearing is that Lidle definitely was in the plane, and he's presumed to have died.

2004 stats don't mean anything now. They're about as worthless as Scott Podsednik's left arm.

I was told that Phil Rogers has an article in the upcoming Baseball America about this.

I've heard that the Sox have left him off of the 40 man roster, so he's going to be a FA unless they change their mind in the next few weeks. Any update on his situation?

There's always a team like the Nationals who will give up the farm for a certain type of player.

There are definitely some teams that wouldn't mind a good defensive SS with some pop who only makes 4.5 million. Of course, I think it's more likely that Uribe is packaged with either Garcia or Buehrle.
