  1. Another hanger...and some more bad defense. Vazquez has such a losing mentality.
  2. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 07:09 PM) he threw him a meat ball and got away with it. Alright, change down and away, and hope he bites He's thrown quite a few this inning.
  3. This umpire has absolutely no strike zone on the corners.
  4. Good base running by the Twins. I wouldn't mind pitching around Punto here to try and set up the DP.
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 07:01 PM) And here's where the wheels fall off. Remember how the inning started? I wonder if Ozzie will bench him for taking his offensive failure out onto the field? QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) It's not going to get any better with Juan Pierre out there next year. I don't think we'll get him. He'll want to play CF, and some team will give him like 7 mil a year.
  6. Some bad baseball being played this inning. No surprise, but Vazquez is about to give up a run after we get the lead. I'm so f***ing sick of this debacle of defense being played in LF.
  7. Wake up PK! That's a terrible start to this inning. The Tigers traded for Neifi.
  8. QUOTE(SEALgep @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) I think someone missed the point... I totally understand the comments....it's just not necessary to single out someone like Mulder.
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) PK looks like he has no chance. I wonder if Gload could have fared better vs Santana We should trade for Eduardo Perez, and play him somewhere against tough lefties. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) PK looks like he has no chance. I wonder if Gload could have fared better vs Santana That would require us trying something different against Santana. OH NO! The Tigers made a trade.
  10. PK has got to have better ABs than that with RISP against Santana.
  11. Thome with an excellent AB, just hit right at the LF though.
  12. Great! There's no question that Ozuna is the fastest guy on the team.
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 06:44 PM) Three more innings, and pull him. I hate the games when we face Santana. It's the only games all season where I feel like we have no chance.
  14. Interesting commentary by Hawk about Vazquez. Rarely do you see him talk about a player's negatives more than his positives.
  15. Anderson made nice contact on that ball. It's too bad their RF has some range, or that could have been an RBI.
  16. Sandy likes to set-up well off the plate for his pitchers. The problem is that this umpire has a very tight zone, and even if Vazquez hits the glove, it's getting called a ball.
  17. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) Why do our LFs stand on the warning track regardless of who is batting? That's one of those questions which hopefully will be resolved in the offseason.
  18. That's just a great start. That ball landed like a foot in front of Ozuna....why didn't he dive?
  19. Santana always does a great job of keeping PK off-balanced. PK might as well just sit on the changeup, and if Santana throws him 3 straight fastballs, sit down.
  20. Thome just missed that....and terrible camera work by Comcast. Good base running by Iguchi.
  21. So far, this umpire has a very tight zone.
  22. Again though, he makes some comments that just don't need to be made. There's no reason to make fun of Mulder, who was injured, the way he did. Someone might want to remind Ozzie that he wasn't a HOF SS.
  23. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 03:55 PM) Check out the espn.com story plus the bit in Buster Olney's blog about Tom Glavine's potential bloodclot that may end his career and season. So close to 300 wins it would be a huge shame. Plus it would have been a lot of fun to see him back in the October spotlight again. Glavine is a true joy to watch pitch as he uses know-how, experience, and deception to confound hitters when his stuff would suggest otherwise. It'd be terribly unfortunate if his HOF career is over now KW....get on the phone with the Mets! Best wishes to Glavine though.
  24. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 05:11 AM) I'd take him in left. And I've always been one of his lesser fans. I agree with this, and I've been someone who's sick of hearing how much we miss him.
  25. YES SIR! Great win. It's amazing how many wins we've gotten lately due in large part to bad defense by the opposition. It's great to win like that when your offense is slumping.
