  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:49 AM) He is significantly better vs RHP over his career. You know I blame Ozzie for everything....but I don't blame him for not playing Anderson.
  2. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:48 AM) It does not look like that ball would have gone out, it just kind of went through the glove. It definitely changed the trajectory of the ball a little downwards. If you look where his glove was when he touched it, it would have been very close.
  3. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:48 AM) Ive never seen PODS with Opposite field power like that. Goes to show you how power pitchers can provide the power.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:46 AM) Mercy. Almost an oppo for pOds! Needless to say, we haven't seen one of those.
  5. I think that ball's gone if Monroe doesn't touch it.
  6. Wow....that was so close to being a few things. Good job Pods!!! Monroe's made great catches like that against us in the past. Get him in Tad.
  7. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:40 AM) I'd rather have Granderson than Anderson. Understatement of the year? Granderson's a future all-star....and Anderson :banghead
  8. Granderson's looked as good at the plate as anyone has all year vs us.
  9. Granderson hits the 2-2 fastball out. I miss the days of Contreras throwing a 2 strike forkball.
  10. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:36 AM) It baseball, you can't win every time. A team CAN best you once in while you know. Crede hit that ball very hard, but right at Polanco. I like the swings our hitters are taking on Verlander so far.
  11. There's his first good forkball of the night.
  12. Contreras doesn't have his forkball so far. He's throwing almost 95 pct fastballs. It'll be interesting to see the type of success he'll have pitching like that.
  13. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:30 AM) Damn, AJ had a real good pitch to hit on 0-1 Absolutely. He was a little too jumpy at the plate.
  14. QUOTE(keninem @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 12:29 AM) I love Dye. He's going to be *the* guy snubbed this year in the ASG. He'll be on it, don't worry
  15. AJP with another one of his selfish ABs with RISP.
  16. 2 on, no outs. A bunt would be stupid, as PK won't be able to beat the throw to third.
  17. EXCELLENT! Cintron made a nice stop on that grounder, as it almost bounced over his shoulder.
  18. One big out....need another two this inning.
  19. Contreras struggling to find the arm angle this inning. With the new arm angle he's working on, is he planning on throwing less forkballs?
  20. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 10:16 PM) Please expound. Not much needs to be said. The person running his recruitment is looking out for himself, and himself only. Most of the stuff has been well documented. Just like the Sherron Collins recruitment, programs are better off shying away from the politics.
  21. I have it on good authority he'll be going to the highest bidder.
  22. Yep, it was just a matter of time before this happened. Again, Cliff has my never-ending admiration for his performance in 2005.
  23. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) Playing CF? I didn't know they ID'd when he got hurt that specifically. I'm pretty sure that they said he hurt it on a play in center field. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) This is true, even with his recent struggles he's still kept a pretty high OBP, .360 as of right now which is very respectable especially cosidering just how low his batting average is. Yep....he's simply not swinging at the plate. Thus, he's either drawing walks, or striking out looking.
