  1. Widger hasn't caught Buehrle before this game (this season), correct?
  2. I can't remember the last time we didn't have an awful showing in the final game of a series at Seattle. I remember Garcia's debacle of a start last year, a blown save by Koch on Sunday Night Baseball, and a game where Willie dropped a routine fly ball in CF and Buehrle got destroyed.
  3. Vintage Widger catching.....everything slow and outside. He makes it so easy for the hitters to adjust.
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:32 AM) You are the king of overreacting. ^^^^^^^^^^
  5. We're about to be a in hole early in this game.
  6. Ugh...I hate the way Widger calls the game.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:28 AM) I like your confidence. I wish had that same level of it! Wash always gives us fits. Widger and Konerko are our two best threats vs Washburn tonight.
  8. Some trouble starting this inning. It's too bad PK didn't knock Sexson's shank down.
  9. The swings are way too long against someone like Washburn. Hopefully, we'll have better ABs the second time through the order.
  10. Washburn's control is fantastic so far. He's hitting his spots on every pitch.
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:19 AM) Twinks lose to the Royals. KC wins two straight series over Cleveland and MInny. Beastly. Ummm....KC is 1-1 in this series vs the Twins, and they face Santana tomorrow.
  12. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 02:16 AM) I feel sorry for M's fans that have to watch Willie F Bloomquist. Nice play Uribe! What's wrong with Bloomquist? I think he's a very smart player who does a very good job in his role. I'd take him as my backup over someone like Willie Harris, who can't bunt and isn't a good base runner.
  13. The final game of the series at Seattle is usually awful for the Sox. It would be nice to change that tonight.
  14. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 09:15 PM) I guess I'm the only one that thinks a fan can only root for one team. I second this claim.
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) A couple of lucky April wins will be more than trumped by not having D Lee for 3 months. Their talent level, even without Lee, is still pretty strong in the pathetic National League.
  16. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) That and the fact they are in 4th place in the NL Central and 2nd place in Chicago right now. Neither of that means s*** right now though. They're 4th place in the Central, but we're 20 games into the season, it's not August. Their record is good, and playing the Marlins couldn't have come at a better time for them. Something I've noticed is that they seem to have a horse shoe up their ass so far this year. They've received a lot of lucky plays/errors by other teams that have allowed them to win games they shouldn't have.
  17. Before Cubs fans start to tell you how great they are, you might want to point out their upcmoing June schedule. Goodness, that's a ridiculously hard schedule they're going to face. Lots of games vs the Cards, Astros, Reds, White Sox, Tiger, Twins, and Indians.
  18. Can anyone watching the Cubs game tell me how bad the throwing error by Hanley was? Would it have been a double play with a good throw?
  19. The more I look at the Marlins lineup, the more I think they won't win more than 50 games this season. What a disgrace that team is.
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 04:26 PM) Rowand had a good arm, just no accuracy. He used to have a very good arm, but by last season, his arm was awful. If you didn't know better, you'd think he thought the goal was to try and hit the back of the pitcher's mound on every throw home. He also had a terribly long release on his throws. Since this is bash Rowand time, I'll repeat this....he'd be the perfect 4th outfielder for a team to have. He would be a great platoon guy vs LHP.
  21. QUOTE(Allsox @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) "After Dye's 2nd HR is looked like he and Gload were having a little argument in the dugout which was covered by the CSN cameras. Anyone else see this?" I saw the shot you're talking about but I didn't get the impression they were bickering It probably was trash talking, as Gload hit the top of the fence, and Dye hit a bomb.
  22. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 25, 2006 -> 10:11 PM) I love it, but I also know that Haeger has about a .5% chance of pitching meaningful innings for the White Sox. I think the Sox brass really likes Haeger, and he has as good a chance of starting at the big league level in two seasons as anyone else in our minors.
  23. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) Annnnnnd where would you get that from? He has some back issues right now. It was reported on the radio over the wknd.
  24. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 26, 2006 -> 04:57 AM) How does he get a save? Makes no sense. I'm pretty sure if you pitch the last 3 innings of a win, you get a save.
