Here comes our number 3 hitter with a huge AB. Dye has at least one homer off of Mr. Asshole Donnelly in the past, but I think his overall numbers are poor.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) What are you talking about. I agreed with you. I think they should hit every cookie on teh screws as well. My fault, I misunderstood what you said. I thought you were saying Crede shouldn't be bashed because he did hammer that meatball about 5 ABs ago. Sorry!

QUOTE(bmags @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:49 AM) f*** f*** f*** can't we catch a break???? Routine grounder to the pitcher thrown down the RF line is a pretty big break, if you ask me.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) I know right. When's the last time Crede took a meatball and crushed it. It's got to be like 4 or 5 ABs. Ludicrous. It's called cashing in on the other team's mistakes. Buerhle hangs a slider, and Quinlan ties the game. Crede gets a slider, and pops it up. I'm not saying that he needed to hit a homer on the pitch. However, while you like to get upset every time there's a hard out made by the Sox, those cookies that are blown are likely a bigger factor in the outcome of the game.

Crede gets a meatball better than the one Quinlan hit for a homer, and flies out weakly to RF.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:39 AM) Sucks that all of a sudden these crappy ass hitters are making Mark work while we are slapping soft grounders back to the sick pitcher. Those crappy ass hitters are better than the sox hitters in every facet of the game besides hitting homers. Good catch by Dye!

Come on defense!

QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:35 AM) "i feel the momentum swinging" ed farmer. That happened the second Rowand got thrown out at home.
-
QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:32 AM) I love how the second the Sox do something wrong the haters come out. Huh? I think tonight is pretty symbolic of the people who are usually in these threads. Please tell me you aren't satisfied with the way things are going?
-
Jas.....You and I both talked about how the offense would excel once it made the playoffs cause the pressure of the collapse talk would be done with. Do you think the offense is pressing now because the pressure of being the team most people favored has started up again?
-
Jphat....at least you don't have to worry about the Sox making a lot of hard outs tonight.
-
Everett looks just terrible from the right side of the plate. He's so far out in front of pitches, all you have to do is throw an offspeed pitch, and you'll get a weak out.
-
Sox are having a lot of success going the other way, but when they pull the ball, they're hitting it weakly. SSI, there's your cue buddy!
-
QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) Buehrle is pitching amazingly tonight. Are you just trying to jinx him? Buehrle got away with a meatball.
-
Great play by Crede.
-
Why does it always seem like Crede is so far off the 3rd base line?
-
jphat....a lucky break there my buddy.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:09 AM) Podsednik should RUN RUN RUN!!! I don't have a clue why Ozzie is so timid to use a hit-and-run with Pods on base, and Iguchi at the plate.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:08 AM) It is an odd fielding style. Pinella hasn't been bad. He's better than the other idiots. I really don't care though, I've learned to zone it out and all I do is watch the game. I'm focused on the Sox. Now Scotty, be smart on the paths. Washburn is incredibly tough to steal off of. Oh trust me, you're not going to get the constant b****ing about the announcing like way too many people were doing last series with Berman. It got to the point that people were more concerned about Berman than they were the game. I have no problem with Uribe's style....he gets the job done.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 01:06 AM) He always has that odd fielding style. I've just learned to live with it cause thus far he seems to catch almost everything. Just my 2 cents though. Maybe Pinella should have spent less time saying Uribe has an odd fielding style, and more time teaching butchers like Lugo and B.J. Upton how to field.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) THAT play will cost us game two. Book it. I'm a huge pessimist, but the first thing I thought after that Rowand play was that we just gave them all the momentum back.
-
We're playing like absolute s***. The infield defense continues to be a debacle in the playoffs.
-
How many outs can we give up every night? It was 5 last night due to base running and bunts. We're already at 2.
-
What in the living f*** is Cora doing? That's just a stupid, stupid, stupid f***ing play.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Oct 13, 2005 -> 12:12 AM) That one was Rowand bunting, not Pods. Pods couldn't even get it down. If either of those bunts had gotten down...we'd have won that game yesterday. They might not have shown the same angle on tv, but at the game, you could see that Figgins was even closer when Pods was up than he was for Rowand's AB.
