I'm nervous about tonight's game because I hate how there's already the built-in excuse for Garland in case he does bad. It will be great to see maturity by him and pitch over the perceived bad situation for his sinker.

Has it been confirmed that the umpire never said "you're out"? I know AJP said he never heard it, and all I heard from Josh Paul was that the umpire never said "no catch".

This play was nothing like the Bartman play. The Bartman play still would have required a sensational catch by Alou, and the Cubs still weren't out of the inning. I'm thrilled we won...but we caught a huge break.

Blackjack McDowell just made a great f***ing point, one that I meant to make this afternoon. Everyone will b**** about the call tonight, but Cabrera got away with an illegal slide to break up that DP last night that gave the Angels the 3rd run. Cabrera came out of his slide and rolled into Iguchi. That's an illegal slide, and theoretically, it should have been a DP.
