  1. This ump is squeezing the f*** out of Contreras now.
  2. Since when has fan interference at your home field allowed you to give the team the benefit of the doubt?
  3. Good grief, they're going to count this run. Contreras has got to start finding his release point. Ozzie should get someone up in the pen NOW!
  4. Ugh, this is going to be real tough getting out of this inning. Contreras has got to start getting ahead of the hitters so he can use the forkball.
  5. Contreras is throwing more over the top than from the side.
  6. PK has some room between 3b and SS for one of his typical seeing-eyed singles.
  7. I would never let Shields pitch to PK here. I know PK has struggled against him, but I'd have a hard time pitching to PK with a base open. This could be a huge, huge hit for the Sox.
  8. What was that? Since when has Iguchi tried to pull that type of pitch? Big hit here Dye.
  9. I hope we don't do anything stupid on the bases here.
  10. QUOTE(bmags @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:46 AM) pods is looking good...if we go to vlad i don't know if we can score...go the other way...GET A SINGLE Rivera has a better chance of throwing out Uribe than Vlad does.
  11. Paul Byrd looks more like Chris Benoit than he does Kelsey G.
  12. Byrd's arm angle seems perfect for Pods to drive down the RF line.
  13. Wow, that's how you charge the ball in LF. Good slide by Uribe, and nice to see the umpire right on top of the call.
  14. We need a homer from someone other than PK.
  15. Jphat....got a few hard outs that inning! Contreras has lost his arm angle, which is flattening out his spllitter and causing him to lose a little control. He's still fine though.
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:33 AM) Fathom, can I ask what the Cubs have to do with the Sox at ALL right now? Why would you even post that if your going to start it off with, "I havent seen to much of it.." Sorry, should have stated that differently. I think the team knows that all they need is one more win, and starts pressing thinking that they can win the game with one swing. We've done so good this series taking solid swings, that I just want to see that continue.
  17. I haven't seen too much of it tonight, but one of the things I remembered from the Cubs being up 3-1 in 2003 is that they seemed to lose some of their focus at the plate, and try to hit the 3 run homer with no one on base.
  18. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) Why must we hit like f***ing s*** vs. Byrd He's changing speeds and is more inside/outside than the previous few righties were. We've had our chances tonight to drive the ball, but haven't cashed in on poor pitches. They're going to Escobar early in this game, so unless we want to see that nasty splitter, we need to start hitting liners again.
  19. Damn, that was a cookie. PK had a cookie in the first inning also that he fouled off.
  20. Good pitches...takes some balls to throw two straight fastballs to Vlad.
  21. This could be a turning point in the series for the Angels.
  22. That pitch has been a strike all game for Byrd.
