  1. Looking like Marte. Oh no, why Hermanson here? Jenks has K'd Lane both times he's faced him. I think this is a terrible decision by Ozzie.
  2. Quick review...Cotts has thrown a ton of high fastballs to Lamb so far this series. I have a feeling he's going to be looking first pitch heater, so Cotts might want to make sure he doesn't pipe it.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:26 AM) I don't know, might just be me but it seemed that he was using a 2 seamer a lot when he was getting hit, the ball tailed in to righties and that was killing him. Absolutely correct
  4. Ugh, not even close. Looks like it's going to be Cotts vs Lamb, part III.
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:23 AM) Great call fathom. And good move Ozzie! Sadly, I've seen so many Cubs/Astros games that I know how to pitch a lot of these guys.
  6. Great pitch! Avoid the inside fastball with Ensberg.
  7. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:21 AM) Ozzie is playing scared of the porch. Might not be wrong there He has a better chance of hitting one into the boxes lefty than he does righty.
  8. You have to make him bat righty here.
  9. The infield needs to play close enough here that if they can get to it, they can get Taveras out at 1b. A leadoff infield single would fuel the fire.
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) Bobby really hasn't had to much control problems after his first few appearances. Obviously he allowed the walk in game 2 but to be honest the thing that scares me most about Bobby is that sometimes he's to much around the plate. You win with your best, you lose with your best. I want Jenks over Hermanson in a save situation. I don't want to see a flat slider by Hermanson hit out for a homer.
  11. BTW, even though it's after the fact, great job by Ozzie of using a pr for Everett.
  12. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) Tavares can't hit the porch (famous last words). I do worry that Berkman would face Cliff too instead of Cotts though Taveras hit a few deep fly balls in game one. Anyone in baseball can turn on a pitch and hit it out to LF.
  13. Ozzie's probably thinking that Politte K'd Berkman when he faced him, and Cotts gave up a single to him.
  14. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:10 AM) I really don't know, that's what scares me. Looks like it's going to be Politte, who scares the s*** out of me with the short porch.
  15. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:08 AM) Then I'm hoping Neal to Bobby, nothing cute in between. Will Ozzie let Cotts face the righty Taveras?
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 26, 2005 -> 03:06 AM) Great game Jon Garland. I supposed thats what toughness is. 2 ER. No reason to argue about this, as there's more important things. However, you could see a completely different approach by Garland once this team got the lead. He was stellar the last 3 innings, no question about it.
  17. That should be all for Garland, as we can ph for him in the 8th.
  18. Great f***ing pitch!
  19. Biggio is going to be sitting on the fastball now.
  20. Be honest...who else was worried PK was going to trip on the mound?
  21. Good change-ups by Bagwell. Biggio really scares me with the short porch in LF. I hope Dye is playing close enough to have a play at the plate.
  22. This should be his last batter. Not much on these last few pitches.
  23. Garland's sinker is a little flat this inning. He's aiming the ball.
