  1. No pop ups PK! Put a good swing on the ball, and worry more about tying the game instead of putting the Sox up 2.
  2. I'm not going to be happy if Pods K's looking.
  3. QUOTE(mmmmmbeeer @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:27 AM) That's ridiculous. Berkman would have never been in the box without a abulls*** infield hit. Bulls*** infield hit? That guy led all of baseball in infield hits. He has a great ability to get out of the box on his swing.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) i got your back no matter what. i dont know you. but you are a whitesox fan. that is all i need to know. Haha, that's the same attitude I have. Even though I argue with some people on this board, I'd still be glad to root on the Sox with them.
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) I'm still looking for you and SSH yelling at AJ for swinging at the first pitch in the second inning. funny enough I can't find him. ANd nowhere did I ever say Pods was a better player than Sizemore. As we have said numerous times, he is a better leadoff hitter, which he is. You can search every thread on it and you won't find it. I'm not mad at AJP for swinging at the first pitch. I know that's the type of hitter he is, so you take the good with the bad.
  6. QUOTE(greg775 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:23 AM) We are not playing great baseball in the rain. Can we win the Series against these mfockers? These Stros are pesky. As I said earlier, they have a much better approach at the plate than the Angels did. Berkman has burned us twice so far with an open base. I have a feeling Ozzie will pitch around him from now on.
  7. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:22 AM) Heh, I don't think that Scott Podsednik is better than Grady Sizemore. Worry about your own supposed baseball knowledge. I will worry about mine. Jphat....you, me, SSH, and many others on this site have different viewpoints. I don't think it's right to start telling people they have no clue when it comes to baseball.
  8. What are the Sox with RISP tonight? Only Crede has a hit, that I know.
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:20 AM) Viz getting loose? Is something wrong w/ Politte? Where do I start?
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:17 AM) come on man be disappointed but dont call out our guys anymore. we are supposed to be a freakin wave of whitesox masculinity that disrupts the meaning of family. Coming from the same person who blamed the fans for the Sox losing game 1 to the Angels?
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:16 AM) So much for that. Pettitte is muy bueno. We've had plenty of chances to put up about 5 runs tonight. Some rather poor ABs by our veterans.
  12. The Astros have come through in every big situation tonight, and the Sox have failed. We have one inning against Qualls here, and then Lidge for 2 innings.
  13. Nice f***ing AB by AJP. We definitely don't deserve to win this game.
  14. Man, this could have been an even bigger inning if Dye and/or PK would have drawn the BB.
  15. Rowand has to get his hands through the swing, and try to drive the ball. He got jammed big time his 2nd AB.
  16. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:12 AM) This is beginning to aggrivate me. f***ing hit the ball hard and have nothing to show for it. Great, now it's beginning to rain. This was probably going to be his last inning anyways. Great job offense. Speed has had a huge impact on this game. Some poor base running by the Sox, and the Astros have two extra runs due to speed. Did anyone else think Crede could have had a double on his flare to RF?
  17. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:12 AM) By far, Pettitte has out pitched Buerhrle in that and many other regards. Something that I don't understand was Buehrle decided to go to the slidestep in that Berkman AB with Taveras on 1b. In that situation, you're better off just concentrating on the batter.
  18. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:11 AM) 1-1 going into Houston isn't so good when you have to face Oswalt in Game 3. But if we don't get Clemens in Game 5, I still like our chances if we lose tonight.
  19. Credit to Pettitte for having like 5 full counts tonight, and making the Sox put the ball in play.
  20. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:06 AM) I'll be happy when one of those 340 ft outs Crede and Dye hit find themselves within fair territory. Or when Konerko hits a ball out of the infield. Yeah, but that's why Pettitte is so good. He cuts his fastball just enough to make it very hard to keep the ball fair.
  21. Buehrle's struggling vs the Astros because of his own beard. He looks like he should be on them!!
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:04 AM) i will actually be happy when "no" appetite is outta there. Um, no! Pettitte is much, much, much more hittable than Lidge is. What's the Sox weakness at the plate all year? Oh yes, the slider from a rhp. Lidge has the best slider in baseball.
  23. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 02:02 AM) The only factor of this team I'm confident in is their terrible baserunning this game. Oh, and Buehlre giving up a hard hit ball down either the 1st/3rd base line with neither Konerko or Crede close to it. With Buehrle on the mound, Crede should always be playing down the line. You also had to know base running would likely be below average tonight with Pettitte on the mound.
  24. We need to keep this game close. I hope Ozzie is aware that we do have a bullpen. The Astros have hit Buehrle extremely hard tonight.
