  1. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:58 AM) Well, if it wasn't obvious before, it's obvious now. We're playing to lose this game. I'm about to throw up. Overconfident?
  2. Get your head out of your f***ing ass Iguchi. A promising inning going down the drain cause our f***ing leadoff hitter with no power can't get the runner over.
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:55 AM) So it's Sizemore's fault that the sun was in his eyes but it's not Podsednik's fault because the ball was wet? Pods is the second coming, it's plain and simple.
  4. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) scouting reports. math. he is lining up where they tell em. berkman is just an awesome player that can kiss my butt. he hit a good pitch down & in with movement. Scouting reports will also tell you not to throw Berkman low and in when batting righty. It was the same pitch he drilled vs Cotts last night. And Crede notoriously plays far off the line.
  5. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) LOL. Sizemore's D helped win us the division. Yeah, what a piece of s*** for losing the ball in the sun. The funny thing is I remember Pods doing the same exact thing on a fly ball hit by Sizemore earlier in the year. Oh well though, that's an arugment for a different place at a different time.
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:47 AM) His play was irrelevant. Don't underestimate how quick that ball got into the outfield. He likely would have been safe, but it's still unexcusable the number of times that Pods can't pick up the ball cleanly in the outfield.
  7. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:47 AM) Bring in Duque Buehrle isn't a good match-up vs the Astros. If you watch them play during the year, they struggle against overpowering stuff from righties.
  8. This game just got late quick. You have to keep the ball up to Berkman when he's batting righty. Nice play Pods!
  9. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) My God. That sucks. I would guess that Pettitte leads all of baseball in the last 10 years in long foul balls allowed.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) You weren't really being serious were you? Yes, I was being dead serious. If Iguchi had another game at the plate where he looked lost like he has been recently, I would have played Harris in Game 3 against the tough righty.
  11. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:21 AM) Willie who Fathom? Like I said, it was contingent on Iguchi struggling again tonight.
  12. Some fine defense being played that inning. Welcome to the World Series Iguchi!
  13. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) I don't take it in an asshole way so its not a big deal. I just take it in a you don't know what you are talking about if you don't think that ball was crushed kinda way. If you don't think a ball can be crushed on the ground I don't know what to tell you. I'm just saying it's not the typical classification of a ball being hit on the ground, that's all.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:18 AM) exactly. this series is going to be a duel between third baggers? of all the odds... That is kind of funny. So far, I've been less with all 4 starting pitchers.
  15. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:17 AM) He crushed that ball. ALmost got another TEAM LEADING hit with RISP. I don't mean this in an asshole way, but you're the only one I've ever seen who considers a ball on the ground as being crushed.
  16. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) That sucks Crede-esque from last night.
  17. There we go Iguchi! When he gets ahead in the count, he needs to just swing hard instead of taking good pitches to hit like he had been.
  18. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) SO much for a low scoring game. Buehrle has abandoned trying to go inside on the hitters. He needs to keep them honest with the inside pitch once in a while.
  19. I'll take my chances with Berkman batting righty. I see that someone else thought that ball hit the security guard down the line.
  20. I'll say this about the Astros: their approach at the plate thru the first two games is infinitely better than what the Angels showed.
  21. That lead didn't last long.
  22. I find it quite ironic that one of the worst statistical base runners in baseball was able to successfully steal against one of the hardest pitchers to steal against.
  23. Way to come right back and get the momentum!!!
  24. HORRIFIC BASE RUNNING BY ROWAND!
