  1. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) Are Dye's eyes okay? What happened? Also, how far was Morneau's homer?
  2. BTW, this isn't even as much Duque's fault as it is the Sox's pathetic offense.
  3. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) Just STFU. You'll be grateful when he tears up the postseason. I can't believe you some times. Haha, well said. I can't wait to hear Ozzie say how great he pitched today, and that he'll give him another chance. You do know McCarthy isn't Roger Clemens, don't you?
  4. Duque has retired 9 guys, and allowed 7 base runners today.
  5. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) How far will Morneau hit it. Good call
  6. I'm loving this veteran experience I've seen from Duque the last month.
  7. Duque is f***ing terrible. Hopefully, this is the last time he starts for the Sox this year. He battled out of the previous innings, but he just allows too many runners to have a chance to be successful now.
  8. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) Our pitchers should pay attention also. MLB gameday is what I am relying on, but you see his pitch pattern. Up and down and uses both sides of the plate and of course I am sure he is using that change up to his best advantage. I know Santana is great, but after 2 straight dominating starts vs the Sox, you'd think we'd try a different approach? The SUPER news is that we face him against next week.
  9. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) The last time he faced the sox, didn't he have a no hitter into the 6th or 7th? No, that was two starts ago against the Sox.
  10. PK is now 2-21 in the 3rd spot. Make the change tomorrow, I'm begging you Ozzie!
  11. Was Iguchi's close to going out, or was it just the typical yahoo deep fly?
  12. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:08 PM) El Dukee gives me the fits, but for the most part I really admire his ability to battle out of jams. He doesn't give in, but he burns himself out within 4 to 5 innings I'd admire him more if he retires after this season and saves us nearly 5 million.
  13. QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:07 PM) Thought he was starting for Freddy? Garcia said he was fit to start last night.
  14. QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) And Santana is supposed to have a blister on his finger(s)! Man, the Twins are trying to kick the Sox out of the postseason. Well, let's see if they succeed, or we have the last laugh. Considering Santana pitched against the Indians both times they played this month, I'm not ready to get too concerned about this.
  15. It hasn't been pretty, but Duque has done his job so far. Ozzie can't leave him in for 100 plus pitches though.
  16. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:04 PM) We have free swinging hitters with low OBP and high strikeout rates. Our long looping swings foul off pitches that should be hit into play, and completely miss the good pitches. We also dont shorten our swings up with 2 strikes at all no matter who we face. This is why crappy pitchers put up 5+ ks against this team. Its a formula for a no hitter. I am actually surprised he hasnt no hit us yet. Don't forget very poor recognition of the strike zone with 2 strikes.
  17. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) Is is just me or does Santana give the sox the biggest fits out of all the teams he faces? It's almost a no hitter for this f*** everytime against us. Ever since Santana became incredible during the 2nd half of the year last season, he's just dominated us.
  18. Might as well play the entire infield in when Tyner is up.
  19. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) Uhh, I dunno -- I just clicked the little TV next to the Sox game and typed in my info, and got in. Lucky you
  20. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) Both. But the MLB.tv feed is about ten second behind the radio broadcast, so it's sort of odd. My mlb.com says I can't get the game. Do you not have your chicago address for your account?
  21. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) On one hand your happy that El Duque gets out of the inning without giving up a run-after he walks 2 batters-but on the other hand just shy of 50 pitches through 2 innings. I am not liking that at all. I don't care how he does it, he just has to keep the Twins from scoring.
  22. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) Another out in fair territory without a K this inning. At least now they are starting to hit Johan. Super....we're still getting no hit.
  23. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) Damn. Uribe makes good contact twice, one has homerun distance but foul, the other hit right to the SS. Are you watching the game or listening?
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) Yay, the inning ends, with only 2 walks, and no one gets hurt catching the popup. What happened on the pop up?
  25. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 17, 2005 -> 04:40 PM) Radke I think. Yahoo says Lohse, and I'm pretty sure it's his turn in the rotation.
