  1. Whew...that was a good pitch. Rowand has got to avoid chopping the ball to the left side of the infield with this tough sinker.
  2. KC should walk PK here to set up the double play.
  3. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:27 AM) So in 5 innings, Jose has given up 7 hits, 3 walks, a hit by pitch, a wild pitch, and an error. This is one of the ugliest 5 inning shut-outs I've ever seen. So you mean Ozzie will let him go the entire game?
  4. Very good to see Everett go to left field the last two ABs.
  5. Indians won 4-1 on a complete game by C.C., who's been on fire lately.
  6. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) Its just a strange game. Lets just keep the lead for as long as possible....and get some runners on for PK.
  7. Looks like Uribe can be our 1b next year.
  8. Just the traditional 9-6 force out!
  9. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:22 AM) .215 That's almost the same as his OBP in LIPS.
  10. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:19 AM) Pods hitting w/ risp........... :puke What is it? I know his on base percentage in LIPS is awful.
  11. Contreras can only walk this tight rope for so long tonight.
  12. Man, a ton of men left on base today.
  13. It would be a nice time for Pods to hit his first homer.
  14. Wow, Uribe with a triple after missing a homer by an inch.
  15. Can we please try Dye in the 3rd spot tomorrow?
  16. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:10 AM) This game just has a weird feel to it! Yes it does.....at least we're winning.
  17. Sox need to get back to taking pitches against Wood. They've been swinging extremely early in the count, and Wood is the type of guy that will make mistakes with the more pitches you see.
  18. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:09 AM) Hasn't been great and he's given up 0 runs through 4. As long as he keeps doing that i dont care how he looks. Yeah, it's amazing how spoiled we've gotten with Contreras lately. Usually, it would be that he looked great, but his results were awful.
  19. Yes sir! Great time for a good forkball....and Blanco at the plate.
  20. Huge, huge batter in this game.
  21. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) Jose looks like dog s*** tonight. If we were playing any other team besides the Royals, they would have 3 or 4 runs by now. Lets hope they don't have 3 after this inning. Contreras isn't mixing his pitches up well at all tonight. KC is just sitting on the low fastball with no movement. He just needs to keep making pitches with RISP.
  22. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) He's not awful, he's inconsistent. He is 8-7 on the season. And there's no shame in getting shut down by Lee and Sabathia. They bombed him the week before, and Elarton had been hit hard by quite a few teams recently.
  23. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 01:01 AM) does carl seem to be slumping? Oh ya....and I'm shocked he hasn't had a day off in this series so far. I wouldn't mind Anderson getting a start tomorrow night against a lefty.
  24. PK is swinging the bat as good as any Sox player I've seen in a long time. We just need to keep getting guys on base in front of him. Everett slumping has resulted in fewer chances for PK to do a lot of damage.
  25. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) The Tribe have some pretty good pitching. Scott Elarton is awful, and he shut them down big time last night.
