  1. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) This is painful to watch, so why am I still watching you ask??? Watch the LLWS game instead. Extra innings there.
  2. Adkins continues to impress when he gets his opportunity. It's bad enough he's all we got for Durham...but can't we just cut our losses and get rid of him?
  3. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 10:07 PM) Erstad=last among qualified ML 1B in OPS He would fit in well with last in the AL in OPS at SS and 3B in Uribe and Crede
  4. QUOTE(SEALgep @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) His price tag will be much lower than PK's, with a higher average from the left side. The money saved could still be put to use for the power you're looking for. Where would we add the power then? Good luck finding a 3b with power that won't cost over 10 million. Erstad is also very injury prone. If you have an infield of Erstad, Iguchi, Uribe, and Crede....you're going to have a crappy offense.
  5. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) I think Crede will be out for a bit, so at least we won't have to see him pop up pitches down the middle for a while. I actually wouldn't mind that platoon of Blum and Ozuna at 3b if Ozuna wasn't so bad on defense.
  6. Will we see another ground ball hit by the Sox all game? They're definitely in launch mode.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) If we played 27 innings and our offense clicked, we may have a chance. During our nice little winning stretch, we're hitting about .250, and our ERA was nearly 2. So basically, if the pitching doesn't continue to pitch out of their minds, we're still the same crappy offense.
  8. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:56 PM) I wouldn't be thinking about the WS, just be happy IF were lucky enough to make it past the 1st round. You know how I am. I'm still very concerned we won't make the playoffs, let alone the World Series. However, the organization should be thinking about the big picture. There's no reason to think that our left side of the infield is going to turn things around offensively.
  9. Are we really planning on trying to make a run at the World Series with the left side of the infield the way it is? I think it's about time we bring in a SS that will either push Uribe, or make Uribe become or utility player. Our offense is just bad, and if we can't get Griffey Jr., then KW should have tried upgrading at other positions.
  10. QUOTE(SEALgep @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) A disaster is quite an overstatement. The Angels have been wanting to get rid of him for a while. He would be a huge downgrade from PK.
  11. Timo should be brought in the game for Everett. We can't risk injury to someone who shouldn't be in the field anyways.
  12. One of the nominees for 2005 White Sox MVP just came into the game. Y. Bettancourt has been quite awful against us this year.
  13. There's absolutely no reason for Garcia to still be in the game. The funny thing is that if you were considering the "big picture", you'd take him out now.
  14. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) Rest his arm, we can't afford any one of our starters going down w/ this putrid offense. I couldn't agree more. But I'm not getting my hopes up for him coming out early.
  15. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) He won't last much longer if his PC gets too high. Ha!
  16. It's too bad Garcia couldn't be facing the awful Twins line-up against today. He might have been able to keep us in this game.
  17. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) Freddy's NOT going to get a W today OZZIE!!!! Yep.....but he'll still go 6 innings. Remember the big picture!!!!
  18. QUOTE(WinninUgly @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) He is real moody. If we get close by the next time he is up they should bring JD in. Ozzie would never ph for Everett.
  19. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) 6-2... What a b****ass effort today If this team was to ever lose out by a game or so for the playoffs, these are the type of lame efforts you look back on and shake your head. The team didn't come to play today, it's that simple.
  20. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) This whole team is. PK is actually taking good swings today. Hopefully Rowand can get it going. It's pretty simple to explain why this team is slumping so much offensively when you look at what guys are batting in their last 50 ABs or so. About half the team is under .200.
