  1. Garcia must thinks he performing for the PBA Tour, and not the majors today.
  2. QUOTE(Sox Hustler @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) Jphat and Fathom, you two are two totally different types of posters. You guys need to set aside your differences and views and enjoy the damn games. Your both White Sox fans whats the big deal damn. Look what I just told him. He tries to start s*** all the time, and I'm just not going to respond to him again. I agree, no one wants to hear it every game.
  3. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) we're playing awful, awful fundamental baseball today on the defensive side of the game. has garcia dropped out of the playoff rotation in anyone else's mind as well? I've said it all year. Whenever we seem to play 2 or 3 benchers in the same game, our fundamentals are awful in that game. Maybe it's just the mentality, but there's been an obvious drop-off.
  4. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) How am I an Ozzie apologist? His team leads the AL by 6.5 games at the end of August without a very good offense, which means our pitching is doing the job in the order that he puts them in that you always complain about. What exactly am I apologizing for. I'm just pointing out how foolish you look by continually getting after Ozzie when he is right most of the time. Just cause you win the game, it doesn't mean the manager is right. I'm going to stop discussing this, as it's all revisionist theory. You can go on any board for any team, and if you look at the in-game thread after the game, you'll find a lot of posts that can be criticized.
  5. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:46 PM) You're gonna have to ask Ozzie about that one. There has to be a method to his "madness"... There have been times where posters have complained only to learn about a minor injury that kept someone out of the game afterwards. That's what usually keeps me from second-guessing. And that's why I asked if anyone had heard something about any injury.
  6. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:42 PM) Wish it was the indians... No kidding. Blue Jays hit into a lot of bad luck today, as they were all over Westbrook.
  7. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:40 PM) You say the same things over and over and over again though. And you are almost always wrong. Its just funny. THats all. I wish everyone would go look at my post. You criticized people for complaining that Contreras was left in too long, and that Cotts should have stayed in instead of Jenks. Were we wrong? Since you seem to be an Ozzie apologist, how do you explain not playing Dye today?
  8. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:36 PM) Haha. I love game threads. It's a shame that not everyone got to see your post after the game yesterday. It's really easy to go back and critique posts after the game, isn't it? I still want to know how many of us posters were wrong in wanting Contreras out of the game prior to the 8th?
  9. Haha, that resembled the first play of the playoffs a couple of years ago with Ray Durham.
  10. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:35 PM) Everett's a better RF?? Haha! Everett plays every batter near the warning track. He's been better in the field than I thought he would this season, but he's still a well below average RF.
  11. Has there been any mention by anyone listening on the radio as to why Dye isn't playing today?
  12. Well, this is more like the Garcia we've come to know.
  13. Took one batter to match the hit total from last game.
  14. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 08:16 PM) I don't understand why Iguchi is still trying to hit the ball to the right side w/ 2 strikes. You gotta know Moyer's gonna go inside. He should be ready for that pitch and TURN on It!! Yeah, at this point, he's better off just swinging normally. He's completely got himself out of whack at the plate trying to hit the ball to the opposite field. I appreciate that he's trying to do the right thing, but he's really giving away too many ABs.
  15. Seems like forever since there's been a 2 out run scoring hit that wasn't a homer. Way to go PK!
  16. Man, when's the last time that Iguchi got the job done, in regards to moving the runner over?
  17. I can't believe Ozzie is benching one of the streakiest hitters in baseball coming off of a superb game. I don't care if Dye is 0 for 50 against Moyer in his career....he deserves to be in the game.
  18. QUOTE(SEALgep @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) I like Konerko, but I see us going a different direction next year. I certainly could be wrong, but I think adding Erstad as our first baseman has a lot of advantages. Erstad would be a disaster for this team. The last thing we need is a defensive specialist at a power position. We have enough of those guys on our roster already.
  19. Can't Griffey Jr. just get his annual injury to put this all to rest?
