Ugh, Duque's getting himself into trouble.

Potential big batter in this game for Duque.

It seems like the radar gun is a little quick tonight, as Duque was just clocked at 93 mph. Jenks might be able to throw 107 with this gun.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) Didn't Boston pick 24th? I seem to recall the Cardinals taking that Georgia Tech SS (Boras client -- can't think of his name) at (what I thought was) 30th...? Greene is his name, IIRC. Tyler Greene

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 01:00 AM) I don't mind cause I think it makes for fun baseball. I wasn't enjoying it enough in August, but I'm trying to soak it in in September. Agreed, this has been very fun so far this month after what any Sox fan would say was an awful month of August. The thing is, we'll have plenty of fun baseball though in the postseason. I just see what happened to the 2003 Cubs with their pitchers running out of gas in the postseason. I'd rather get our starters a lot of rest heading into the postseason (if we make it).

Hey Rowand44...give me some advice on how to say something optimistic without getting told I'm wrong?

I'd rather the Indians lose all of their games for the rest of the season, and the Sox clinch as soon as possible. At least my blood pressure would surely appreciate that. Shut them down Duque!

Who would have ever thought I'd get people telling me to calm down cause I was too happy about the offense?

QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) It's the Royals. Looked the same against the Tigers and Schilling.

QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) Quit worrying about the Tribe ........................ The more they lose, the easier things get for the Sox. Come on, don't you want to see the great Ross Gload play more?

Royals @ White Sox 9/6/2005
Man, this offense looks awesome right now. Very few guys are giving up ABs.
-
Royals @ White Sox 9/6/2005
I know they sucked against the Sox....but the Tigers are taking some of the worst swings you'll ever see.

That's beautiful to see!

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 12:45 AM) No reason to against KC and Lima I don't think. I agree with you, FWIW.

Will Ozzie do the squeeze here?
-
Royals @ White Sox 9/6/2005
With that leg kick, Uribe has 30 homer power.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) i love pablo. That wasn't a hard play or anything, but still. As long as he continues to play solid 3rd base, he's a huge asset to this team. His hustle is just tremendous. It was also nice to see Ozzie say today that he can't play Ozuna too often, or else he'll lose his effectiveness. That's a great philosophy when putting a reserve into the starting lineup.

It wasn't pretty, but Duque got us back in the dugout.
-
Royals @ White Sox 9/6/2005
Wow, Duque got screwed on that 3-2 pitch. Lima was definitely getting that pitch the inning before.
-
Royals @ White Sox 9/6/2005
Lets go Duque. Everything has been up so far tonight.

Sensational swing by Rowand there. Even SSI would be extremely proud of that swing.

Royals @ White Sox 9/6/2005
Everett needs a day to rest. He's been taking some real bad swings. And no, Pods had no chance to score on that double.
-
Royals @ White Sox 9/6/2005
It usually seems like Iguchi lines out to third when he hits the ball down the line. Everett needs to get one in, get one over.

Quite a small crowd at the game tonight. Also, Indians are winning 2-0 in the 3rd. Needless to say, the Tigers offense is struggling.

Roster Moves
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 06:12 PM) Its a win-win situation with Borchard. Our only chance to get something for him is to play him and see if we can get his value up. If not, we are going to lose him for nothing or next to nothing anyway. I am estatic to see that Baj got the call over Adkins, like he should have a month ago. I also am looking forward to seeing more of the Brian Anderson show. I just hope we put Anderson into the outfield instead of Everett against lefties. If I were Ozzie, I'd try to avoid putting Everett in the field as much as possible to avoid risking injury.
