  1. This is a situation where Hermanson seems to walk a lot of batters.
  2. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:40 AM) With Hermanson's stuff, I always am nervous b/c he will hang curves and sliders frequently and his fastball isn't overpowering. I would rather Jenks be the closer even with the lack of experience, but hey Hermanon despite the back and the hangers, keeps gettinng the job done. Couldn't have said it better myself. He deserves the role right now. However, another blown save in the next week, and you might have to consider other options.
  3. Great range by Anderson there. The camera angle made it look like that was a definite gapper.
  4. That's the same thing Beltre did last time he faced Hermanson.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:37 AM) I hate 'closers'... No kidding. You go with the pitcher who has the best job of getting 3 outs while maintaining the lead.
  6. QUOTE(That funky motion @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:36 AM) This is another case of the use of a closer in a non closer situation. Will managers ever learn! Were they that scared of Timo that they brought in the lefty? Was Mike Hargrove lurking on soxtalk.com today?
  7. Anyone else see Anderson going nuts on the bench for Iguchi's homer? You gotta love the enthusiasm of young players.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:35 AM) Thanks bud. Yep, Happy Birthday
  9. Hermanson faced these same stretch of hitters two weeks ago. I'd like to see him go to Jenks...but I can understand using Hermanson though. If you don't use your closer, and he says he's healthy...that can cause problems for his confidence.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:32 AM) Air Force Amy She might be the nastiest person I've ever seen. Cathouse is a fantastic show though.
  11. Once Iguchi hit that, I thought it was gone for sure. If Ibanez caught that ball, I think I was just going to stop watching baseball for a week.
  12. Y2HH...I didn't see that post of yours at first, but I couldn't agree more. Also, we take much better swings against lefties than we do righties. Considering we suck vs righty offspeed pitches, Nelson should have been kept in.
  13. Ugh...one great pitch to hit already blown. Keep your head on the ball ARow.
  14. Good call Ozzie!!! I don't care what happens, this is the right baseball move.
  15. OK....I will be livid if Rowand isn't brought in to hit here. Rowand is very good against lefties. Please Ozzie, find it in your heart to replace Timo!
  16. Too bad Sexson didn't try and throw that to 2nd base. Anyone else worried about Uribe getting caught stealing?
  17. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 05:20 AM) He bunted Anderson over. It's not his fault the 2 and 3 hitters struck out after that. No, no...I know. I was going to go back and add that. That was fine managing. However, I was talking more about situations where there's like one on, and one out. Sorry I didn't go back and correct that. Thanks for pointing it out though.
