A few days ago, I made a comment that it seems like far too often, we have to win, and overcome the decisions of our manager. This was one of those games where we could have produced another run or two, it likely would have been all over.

I've always thought that if you play for one run, you'll end up losing by one run. Kinda like the prevent defense in football. Luckily, we've won a lot more of these type of games than we've lost.

Counting unearned runs, Hermanson has given up runs in 5 of his last 7 games. That's Vizcaino-esque.

Hermanson hasn't been fooling anyone with his splitter recently, that's what has changed. Earlier in the season, he was getting a lot of strikeouts or weak grounders with his splitter. If you noticed before the Hernandez homer, he threw an awful splitter that went about 58 feet. He overcompensated on the next splitter, and hung it.
