  1. QUOTE(Jabroni @ May 24, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) The Pirates traded Aramis Ramirez to the Cubs. The Reds and the Pirates are perennial cellar-dwellars in the N.L. Central. I doubt they would trade Dunn to the Cubs but I could see them wanting to dump Griffey's contract and would trade him to the Cubs. Dunn is well-liked w/the Reds, while Aramis was hated by everyone in Pittsburgh. The Pitt organization thought Aramis was a cancer, and couldn't wait to get rid of him. That's the main reason that they were willing to get rid of him for less than market value.
  2. Timo's playing in CF tonight for Rowand. Our 7-8-9 tonight is downright pathetic.
  3. I guarantee that the Reds don't trade Dunn to a team in their own division. If anything, Dunn would be the last OF they'd be willing to give up. Jason Dubois and some lame reliever will not be enough to get him.
  4. That's been a f***ing strike all game. Bulls*** call ump.
  5. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 21, 2005 -> 08:08 PM) Fathom, it's a difference of opinion. I don't feel like Lee has reached Barry Bonds/Albert Pujols status quite yet to where you don't want to let him beat you. For me, I don't want the go ahead run at the plate. Burnitz has power, I don't care if he's worse than Lee. Totally understand. I appreciate everyone voicing their opinion on here about the play. Like I said though, lets just be very thankful the ball stayed in the park!
  6. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ May 21, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) ding ding ding Amazing prediction.
  7. Hermanson's going to have his work cut out for him next inning.
  8. Aren't we going to have to ph for Marte here? Or did Ozzie double switch?
  9. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ May 21, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) ??? Put the winning run at the plate? That's stupid, you don't do that. Why's it stupid? I've always believed that you shouldnt let the opposing team's best hitter beat you. Anyways, it's on to the 9th inning. I'm just thankful that Lee didnt hit that hanger out of the park.
  10. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 21, 2005 -> 07:59 PM) You don't, period. That was Lee's first hit of the series, burnitz has the only rbi today, you don't put the tying freaking run on base, just doesn't make sense. Anyways, lee picked off, HE GAWN!!!!! I see your point, and I offer mine.......who do you think has a better chance at getting the guy out: Cliff vs Lee or Marte vs Burnitz?
  11. Wow! It's not often you see Marte pick off a batter.
  12. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 21, 2005 -> 07:56 PM) Everyone been on ozzie to make cliff the setup man, he does, cliff just doesn't have it today but it's still ozzie's fault. No.....Cliff was the right call there. We're upset that he pitched to Lee in that situation.
  13. Ozzie decides to let the best hitter in the NL hurt us, and he did. Thankfully it stayed in the park. Cliff fell in love with his slider this inning, instead of relying on his heater like he had been.
  14. f*** you Ozzie! We're lucky that ball wasn't hit out. Cliff has been hanging most of his sliders today.
  15. You can't make the same mistakes other teams have and let Lee hurt you.
  16. Wow, big out. Walk Lee here, and bring in Marte to face Burnitz.
  17. With Lee on deck, this is a terrible situation right now. Cliff can't lay it in there for Perez though.
  18. Whatever happens, you can't pitch to Lee in this inning.
  19. Man, Cliff got the offspeed pitch up there. Needs to stick with his heater.
  20. Can we please put Dye in RF though for the 8th inning?
  21. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ May 21, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) Ozzie you f***ing genius for a day. It's all because Timo led off this inning. Haha....Yep, Wuertz had so much confidence in his slider after facing Timo, he kept throwing that pitch to Konerko (I know, Wuertz always throws sliders!).
  22. Who's coming in for the Sox? Shingo was warming up last inning. I'd like to see Cliff come in for the 8th.
