Out of the 6 tools (contact, power, plate discipline, speed, defense, arm) he has really only displayed 1 of them this season, plate discipline. While being beyond mediocre in 4 of the other 5 (speed being the exception, he's been decent in that aspect of the game.) It's a good trade in my book since we get to see Richar start in the big leagues for the next 2 months and we get something (no matter how minimal) for a guy who we would have gotten nothing for had we held onto him.

Jesse Rogers just confirmed that Iguchi would not have brought in any compensation picks due to the clause in his contract.

Nice haul for Texas. Max is 22 and in high A but the offensive ability seems to be there. Any time you can get a high upside player like Ramirez for a 40 year old rent-a-player you've done a good job. Ramirez BTW is the player the Indians received in return for Bob Wickman last year.
