3/6/07: Rockies @ White Sox
QUOTE(fathom @ Mar 6, 2007 -> 02:27 PM) I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but in today's Tribune, Ozzie said that Erstad will be batting up in the order and playing somewhere in the field no matter what. When you add that to the fact that Ozzie said that Pods is his starting LF, no questions asked, you get the feeling that Anderson is going to be a platoon player at best this year. I think Brian already has his plane ticket to Charlotte while Terrero is looking for at apartments in Chicago.

Javy's still leaving his fastball up in the zone, it has excellent zip but he's not following through. Then he goes ahead and paints the outside corner at the hips for the K. Great fastball right there. It looks like he's throwing real hard right now, it'd be nice if they had a gun going.

Javy is starting to settle in, his throwing all his pitches with strikes and his breaking balls have excellent bite. Unlike the 1st inning. QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 6, 2007 -> 02:25 PM) haha thanks Kalapse, i think i'll come to your from now on when i feel bad about myself. you have a way of making everything all better. That's why I'm here.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Mar 6, 2007 -> 02:20 PM) BTW Kalapse, traded Thome for Prince Fielder last night..... So realistic. I think I have like 4 players left from the original Sox roster and a $50M payroll.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 6, 2007 -> 02:17 PM) jamie carroll is a great young player as well... but i was looking at their roster and look at this beautiful picture of carroll. Jamey Carroll is a 33 year old 1 year wonder and that 1 year was still below average. BAD.

What's Going on in San Diego???
Brian Giles has always been known for a few things, he has one of the best batter's eye's you're ever going to find, he loves to take batting practice completely in the nude as well as anything else you can think of and that other thing that shall not be named.

Milwaukee Brewers
Like I said in the Game Thread today, they corner the market on young, studly, black position players. Weeks, Fielder and Hall are 3 of the best in the game and are only going to get better. I gotta say I absolutely love watching that team play. Now Ben Sheets needs to keep his ass off the DL, if he can do that they're pretty much set.

If the scoreboard is green then it's an incredibly black shade of green. As for the walls, I don't know why the hell I thought they were blue but they sure as hell aren't anywhere near as green as they are in the game.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 04:24 PM) The walls are blue? Since when? And the scoreboard is green as well in real life. That's what I don't get about people complaining about the walls. Only thing that's wrong is the scoreboard which is blue in the game. http://diary.jp.aol.com/hzyyyx/img/1123404419.jpg Yeah, when I think about it you're right they are green. But not nearly as green as they are in the game. I do think the scoreboard is black though, it just looks green when the light hits it directly during the day.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 04:29 PM) Every time they say Tony Gwynn it kinda freaks me out. Apparently Razor was a product of the Reds? When was this? June 6, 1978: Drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the 1978 amateur draft. November 8, 1985: Released by the Montreal Expos. July 25, 1986: Signed as a Free Agent with the Montreal Expos. October 15, 1987: Granted Free Agency. They're idiots. Sox lose by the way.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 04:05 PM) Those guys were just throwing stuff out there. Lol at calling Rogo a "big dude" He thinks that everyone on the team is huge. I think there's a reason why these guys are doing Brewers.com broadcasts.

QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 04:01 PM) When did Razor play for the Sox? I guess I could look it up...but I'm laaazy. He didn't he only played for Montreal in his brief stint in the bigs and never played for a Sox minor league affiliate. Carlos Vasquez on to pitch.

Apparently all of the current sox coaches once played for the ballclub. Don't tell that to Don Cooper.

Ugh, they're perpetuating the myth of "Ozzieball".

Wes Whisler in to pitch. Donny Lucy in to catch and Terrero to CF. Mike Rivera leads off the inning with a shot double.

So now Broadway sucks. Jenkins with the 2 run single ties the game at 3. Bill Hall rolls into a 6-4-3 inning ending double play.

Are they calling Rogo Rodowski?

Broadway is currently on the bump. The curve is dropping off the table according to these guys. 2 quick outs.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 03:14 PM) how is that not great? thats pretty solid It was inflated by his unsustainable batting average. He had a BA/OBP differential of .028 which is pretty poor. If he takes a couple walks last year he would have had a .400 OBP. If Pablo gets a good amount of starts next season as the leadoff man I really can't see him hitting .328 again meaning that OBP is going to fall right back down into the mediocre range.
