Your post makes it sound like we have people calling Buehrle greedy which I'm just not seeing.

Talk about spin, I never expected the guy to sign with the Cardinals anyway, I expect him to sign with the highest bidder on the open market which in all likely hood would not be the Sox or Cards. If he came on and said he'd be willing to accept a contract similar to what the other starters on the team got then yeah this might be news but nothing has changed between yesterday and today. KW has already tried to re-sign him and failed, no one has to be the bad guy in a situation like this but both sides will be making statements trying to push the blame on the other guy. I'm willing to accept the fact that Mark is looking to cash in big time for his 'prime years' contract and that the asking price is just too much for the Sox. I don't see a need to blame either side.

I don't think anyone really knows who Juan Uribe is, whether he's the .833 OPS player he was in '04 or the .698 he put up last season is the true Juan but 2 things are for certain he's still one of the best defensive players in the game at an incredibly crucial defensive position and he's shown good power on a consistent basis. Alex on the other hand is a good bat, he seems to be a pretty good contact guy with limited power and limited speed. He doesn't have the defensive skills you're looking for out of your SS but he is a decent baserunner. In other words he's a very good bat to have off the bench but from what he's shown at the major league level I'd much rather have him at around 300 ABs per season kicking ass for me in a pinch hitting role than picking up 600 ABs as my starting SS.

JD riding on top of the Mercedes then running back was hillarious, you don't often see the entire scene uncut like that with him riding away then jumping off and running all the way back on one shot, no cut scenes. Outstanding.

There's nobody in the city better than B&B they're outstanding. I can't bare to listen to North/Murphy/MJH, talk about hacks. Silvy and Carmen was great when they were on 9-12 during the week but I have yet to catch them at night, it's just a brutal time slot.
