  1. Anybody know the Sox' record on National TV this year? I'd say it's at or below .500 easy, they just don't seem to perform well on ESPN.
  2. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 11:33 AM) I'll settle for him winning the gold glove this year He has a chance, I'd put the current chances of winning at 30% for Joe and 70% for Mike Lowell. There's really no one else but it's going to take a nice streak of Web Gems from Crede to close the gap.
  3. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 01:54 AM) Certainly wasn't pretty the one game he was out there this year. Are you really that much more comfortable with Ozuna at the hot corner?
  4. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 01:08 AM) At this time right now, they'd beat us in playoff series imo. That could change but at this time, my money would be on Detroit. Sadly, I agree.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 01:01 AM) If you don't think we can beat the Tigers in a playoff series I'd be suprised. From what I've seen the Tigers are a superior team to the Sox when they are not facing off head to head. I seriously don't know what that even means but I'm not 100% sure the Sox are better than the Tigers this year, especially with the way the pitching is going this season.
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 12:58 AM) Why is there a Tigers fan trying to defend his team on here? It's a massively biased board and I don't care what you say about the Tigers, we all still know we are better than you. Don't stress out here dude, go enjoy your amazing regular season on a Tigers board. Please don't speak for me.
  7. QUOTE(ViperPilot @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) About the same amount of CWS fans last year.....dude, get real with your posts.....Tigers not a real team? You need to go post on the thread with the Twins and BoSox because they're the ones you have to worry about right now......No real team wins from behind?! How many late inning, come from behind victories did you have earlier this year?! Learn to control your anger and frustration......you don't type coherently when you don't....... You need to learn how to read posts more closely.
  8. Crede will be sitting out tomorrow and likely Monday as well, for precautionary reasons. He tweaked his back today at the plate.
  9. This is just utter dominance of an excellent offensive ballclub, shocking really.
  10. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 11:39 PM) More amazing than the Benson hit on that video is that Tim Day caught a pass...I figured he got lost on the way to camp. After all that damn work we did to get him in a Beras uni and they're not even giving the guy a shot.
  11. QUOTE(Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 11:27 PM) Thanks for being there to police sarcasm. That's real important, and God bless you for saving us from this type of activity. I really don't think I was addressing you, please refrain from posting such things of this nature in the future. Thank you.
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 04:23 PM) Thank God the Jewfro lives Mark Teahen is an ugly man.
  13. The Marlins are my second favorite team in baseball, they're by far the most fun team to watch right now.
  14. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) I'm dumb with computers...how do you save a video like from youtube or myspace, if possible? If you use Firefox you can download this extension which is pretty much the spiff, it allows you to download any streaming video over the internet.
  15. QUOTE(champ @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 10:25 PM) Jake Peavy is having a bad season in the NL. And I also think it's a load of crap that some of you want to do away with Garcia. Stupid, stupid, stupid. I guarantee it. He's a guy that will make you look dumb for ever getting rid of him...I'd be willing to money on that. It pisses me off the way some of you think struggling = a bad pitching staff. This staff is not bad, it's probably the best 1-5 in baseball, when they're pitching to their potential. They have STRUGGLED, they are NOT bad. 1.) They have not all pitched to their potential at all this season. 2.) Garcia has lost a pissload of velocity. I heard today that he's has dropped from about 82% 90+ MPH fastballs last year to about 40% this season which is just scary. He's a power pitcher lacking a power pitch, if that doesn't scream toast I don't know what does. 3.) When a pitching staff sucks for 4 months that is not "struggling" once you hit August that has to be considered a trend.
  16. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 08:49 PM) He's bad. Real bad. QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) We should trade Buehrle and give Redding his spot in the rotation. At least he might be able to pitch well inside! Quite the weak attempt at sarcasm.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) Greg Maddux in the midst of a special game that's likely pissing off Cubs fans. Through 6 now. and it's a rain delay.
  18. It REALLY looks like this team will be without Thome and Konerko for the finale. This game should be pretty damn interesting.

    Joe Crede

QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 04:30 PM) It's funny, but if he wins the GG this year, it will be more because of what he's doing on offense than it is defense. What's new?
  20. Kalapse

    Joe Crede

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) Crede is the best fielder on the team, and one of the best hitters. He is a top notch 3B IMO, and shoudl have a GG by the end of his career. His only competition for the Gold Glove this year is Mike Lowell, so Crede is basically sitting on a 50/50 chance of winning one this season.
  21. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 03:40 PM) I hope Thome gets the day off tonight, and Konerko, too, if needed. I want them ready for Halladay. Neither is expected to be in the lineup today, especially Thome.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan76 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 03:31 PM) Why does everyone have to have lame nicknames. Why not Brandon? Or McCarthy? Or MacDougal? I leave the nicknames up to the expert. (Hawk) Bmac, Black Mac, Mack Daddy, Mack a doodle doo, enough with the lame nick names! Well, Bmac has been Bmac for quite awhile from what I understand. As in, he's been called that from childhood. QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 02:12 PM) No, I think McCarthy has one of the nicest throws in the league. Much unlike Kerry Wood, his arm motion does not put a whole lot of strain on his arm. I haven't really watched Macdougal yet, but I will and let you know. Brandon McCarthy has an incredibly violent delivery, this has been a knock on him for quite some time now. It puts a good amount of strain on his elbow and is something I believe he's worked on in the past. So yeah, you really couldn't be more wrong.
  23. Jermaine Dye will be finishing in the top 5-7 in MVP voting this year, guys with his numbers tend to do that.
