  1. Made it like a week ago, thought I'd share seeing how things seem to be dying down.
  2. QUOTE(scotty22hotty @ Aug 19, 2005 -> 12:06 AM) The rumor was 50 positives with 2 bigger than Raffy... Does anyone know if only 2 names will be released tomorrow? It seems strange they will release the biggest 2 names on the same day without any other people being named. If the Rocket and/or Damon test positive, all hope for idolizing superstars will go down the drain. You're not supposed to idolize athletes anyway, it's the perfect way to have your heart broken when you learn about the person off the field and at times on the field as well.
  3. Not many white guys on our soccer teams, usually the white/black kids stuck to football and the mexicans played soccer, so I stuck to my 4 years of football and left the soccer to the guys who played it since birth. We had a pretty decent soccer team and a pretty s***ty football team. The guys on the soccer team could do some absolutely amazing things with a soccer ball.
  4. Just thought I'd share two of my favorite steroid cases of all time. One was suspended for steroids the other was never proven but it reeks of roids not to mention the fact that it has been widely speculated that he used. Brady Anderson... ___HR_SLG% '92: 21 .449 '93: 13 .425 -8 HR '94: 12 .419 -1 HR '95: 16 .444 +4 HR '96: 50 .637 +34 HR '97: 18 .469 -32 HR '98: 18 .420 NC '99: 24 .477 +6 HR '00: 19 .421 -5 HR '01: 8 .300 '02: 1 .250 A 34 HR spike and a .193 SLG% spike. A small little leadoff hitter for the Baltimore Orioles suddenly hits 50 HRs and suddenly becomes this: but my favorite.... Why would a WR weigh nearly 260 pounds? David Boston was suspended for steroid use on Dec. 13, 2004. The guy was always pretty big dating back to his days with the Buckeyes but a sudden weight gain and muscle gain once he reached the Chargers was quite alarming. Suddenly he was giant and bulky with hardly the speed he used to have. Steroids in essence ruined his career.
  5. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 09:01 PM) I was at the game yesterday and when he came up to bat a mets fan sitting behind me than said that Anderson sucked. I told him that he was their best prospect. But he's not the Sox "best" prospect.
  6. I can't stop f***ing laughing
  7. OMG, the Astros have a promotion tomorrow at Minute Maid: Tell me that is not f***ing hillarious if this does go down tomorrow. This morning Roger Clemens was suspended for use of a banned substance, come down to Minute Maid Park be one of the first 10,000 adults and get your very own Roger Clemens T-shirt.

  11. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) According to a post at WSI: Garland, Pods, Buerhle, and Garcia also cleared and are eligible for trade Marte and Politte were claimed but pulled back so they can't be dealt I'd claim any player the Sox put on waivers. Noone has a gian menacing contract and are all in pretty good health. It makes no sense for Buehrle to clear.
  12. QUOTE(3 BeWareTheNewSox 5 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) I linked to both those sites and didn't see Soxtalk.com referenced. The NYY one credited a Michael Kay ESPN Radio show in NY, and the Reds one came from a guy who claimed to work in the office of a Major League Organization You read all 27 pages of the Yankee one?

QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 06:03 PM) Kalapse is sure being lazy these last few pages... It's your thread, you should probably be moderating it. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) I'm posting this one and I don't give a hoot what Mr. Kalapse thinks about it. Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas. That's not your run of the mill celebrity crush. :headshake that is all QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 05:12 PM) Kate Beckinsale is a hottie and is my choice number 1. And of course Keira Knightly This is officially Hot Chicks III. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) I always had a crush on Alyssa Milano from the days of Who's the boss....Wonder what ever became of her.... Who didn't, seriously.

  15. QUOTE(VAfan @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) Why not send someone like Jerry Owens and a couple similar prospects for Ibanez? He's not on the 40-man roster, so he wouldn't have to clear waivers. And he's hot, so maybe he has value. Yet, at 24, he probably has less upside than Sweeney or Chris Young. Ibanez could start in LF while Pods is on the DL, and afterward could spell Dye, Rowand (with Pods in CF after he returns), Everett, and Konerko. We'd have no need to Timo Perez, and for the playoffs we might find Willie Harris's speed to be of greater value. Ibanez would be a very useful addition, who could also be used as a role player next year. The Mariners would have no interest in Jerry Owens (a future 4th OF) being the focal point of any trade for Ibanez as a throw in yes. They'll want some one with more upside and higher ranked.
  16. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) Good find. Assuming Damon gets busted, he was probably already tested by the time he made these comments, right? He was most likely tested, told he tested positive and going through the appeals process at the time.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 09:42 AM) Prediction: "This guy is supposed to be the team leader? All he ever does is open his mouth and say dumb s*** like this, I can't wait until he's gone this offseason so I dont have to hear this type of talk out of him anymore.". QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) f*** Konerko. Shut you damn mouth already. I can't wait to get rid of him next year. ^^^ Does this count. I think my prediction was just about the same as his statement, I'm proclaiming myself the winner.
  18. Well Griffey just hit his 29th. He's now homered in 3 out of the last 4 games.
  19. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) I wouldnt put KGJ in LF because it is harder on your legs to play corner OF positions, not to mention CF is his only real position. He would be more than ok until PODS gets back and then put him in the DH role and leave Carl for spot duty and PH. I used to believe this as well. But I can't find anything that proves this theory other than J.D. Drew and the Dodgers training staff saying it's worse on your legs to play corner OF. I'm a little skeptical now.
  20. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) On Conan he said he's the same size now as he was at 13. I saw a picture the other day of him standing in the outfield wearing red under armor, he looked pretty lean and cut. Not to menion the Puma commercial. I found a screenshot from the puma commercial. Yes, he is lean and cut, holy s***.

QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) thank you kalapse for guarding my thread........and punishing all who disobey Anytime I get to look at pictures of hot lesbians displaying their affection in a physical manner it's a good thing. People must pay for not following the guidelines of the thread.
  22. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) Who knows...maybe getting Guardado will have a team-wide 'shot in the arm' effect and the batters might even start hitting? He'd be a pretty damn big pick up at this point and would give us the best bullpen in the AL IMO. Why would picking up a reliever make the hitters play better? I'm having a hard time understanding that logic.
  23. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 18, 2005 -> 11:50 AM) Not if playing CF is contingent on him dropping his no-trade clause. When has he ever said this would be a factor?
