  8. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 02:19 PM) Uh no, soft tosser means no velocity. Hence the word "soft." And he doesnt walk alot of people at all, so I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. Basically you dont know much about him, but you would like to criticize someone, and he is your easiest target, huh? Soft-tosser = Pitcher with strikeout ratio of 5.0 or less sunshine. Your comment above speaks volumes.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) Soft tosser huh? I didnt know low 90's fastball/sinker pitchers were soft tossers? 2 bad outings and you abandon all hope for a player. Man im glad you arent affiliated with the white sox in any way. Soft-tosser means he does not strike out many guys compared to walks not velocity, has nothing to do with outing he is our 5th starter nothing more.
  10. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) No, I don't think you can say that in week 2 of the season. Jon Garland is probbaly my favorite Sox pitcher to watch when he is going good. The guy can be a phenomenal pitcher. But, when he is bad it stinks. But, then all bad games stink I guess. 1 decent season if you think Garland is some upper tier AL starter you are fooling yourself, he is a soft-tosser who had a career year. He is a .500 starter at best take off the blinders on JG.
  11. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 02:03 PM) If he reverts to his form before last season, his contract will be difficult to move. He'll get better. He can't get worse. No he will not teams always will overpay for pitching in this era.
  12. 1 good year, got his big payday and will be 1st to be shipped out in trade after 2006 to make room for BM and that is fine with me.
  13. JG will be the odd man out this winter!
  14. So much for Detroit's hot start
  15. QUOTE(lukeman89 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 11:01 PM) #1 - Buehrle & Contreras #2 - Freddy & Garland #3 - Vasquez & Mac #4 - Blackjack & Wilson Alvarez ... ... #388 Sirotka & Parque #389 Prior & Wood Like it I add #390 Hibbard & Sanderson
  16. I guess leading baseball in quality starts in 2005 and 4 complete games in playoffs mean nothing. SI just sucks all the east coast ass kissing they can do and that will never change! Some of these guys have sucked for 2 or 3 years.
  17. He has about 10 kids probably busy as hell seemed like his wife was having a baby every year with Sox .

    QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 09:56 AM) They seem to be everybody's suprise team. Can they be that much of a suprise? When teams like Cubs think 2 of 3 is a given they could suprise teams they play not so much baseball fans.
