  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 12:24 PM) Jack McDowell anyone else notice that the vast majority of juicers have been Scott Boras clients? Look it up. Those we KNOW and those we all suspect (ie know) Boras deserves some heat!
  2. USA Today's Bob Nightengale reports that Alex Rodriguez has no intention of negotiating a settlement with Major League Baseball and would appeal any potential suspension. Per Usa Today
  3. According to CBS Evening News’ Jim Axelrod, Alex Rodriguez could be facing a lifetime ban from MLB. Ryan Braun was given a 65-game suspension on Monday for his involvement in the Biogenesis PED clinic and reports from ESPN have stated that the evidence against A-Rod is "far beyond" what Major League Baseball investigators had on the Brewers star. Rodriguez is presumably going to attempt to work out a deal with the commissioner's office, but if MLB has enough evidence it could look to push the 37-year-old third baseman out for good. There's much more to come. per Rotoworld
  4. Rangers wanted Garza and targeted him from the beginning and got there man. Garza for Olt, Edwards, Grimm and a player to be named later. Deal is done. Per Mlbrumors
  5. According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, Alex Rodriguez "declined to answer the questions of MLB investigators when they interviewed him" about the Biogenesis clinic. Because of that, Heyman says, A-Rod is all but certain to receive a performance-enhancing drug suspension -- possibly for more than 50 games. There are another 15 or so players that are expected to be punished for their involvement in Biogenesis, including Brewers slugger Ryan Braun. The suspensions will likely be handed down simultaneously within the next couple of weeks and then the lengthy appeals process can begin. Per Rotoworld
  6. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 21, 2013 -> 09:43 AM) If the rumored return for Garza is right, we should be able to swing a franchise-changing kind of deal for Peavy if our GM can scout and negotiate well. I agree Sox could swoop in and get a very good package.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 20, 2013 -> 06:16 PM) WTF? If there's one thing a contending team wants, it's...prospects from the white sox system? I thought the same thing Balta.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 20, 2013 -> 06:03 PM) Pretty much everyone you could want to trade has had a good game today. Yep someone needs to get on the phone NOW!
  9. •It'll be interesting to see what the White Sox get for Alex Rios if they decide to deal him. Position players are usually easier to move in the winter and clubs view his deal differently. He earns $12.5MM per season through 2014 with a $13.5MM club option for 2015. On one hand, that's a reasonable price tag for someone who hits 20 homers, gets 20 steals, and can play outstanding defense. On the other, as recently as 2011, he had a .613 OPS. For the White Sox to make a worthwhile deal, they may have to throw in prospects and cash. per Ken Rosenthal
  10. Sox 5 for 6 with RISP so far been along time since that has happened.
  11. Morel a hit and rbi better run for cover!
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 20, 2013 -> 03:56 PM) Careful, he'll probably collide with Peavy on a pop up or something. You are right my bad!
  13. Morel is f***ing useless. Send his ass back down to AAA.
  14. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 20, 2013 -> 03:47 PM) Peavy getting dinked around now. Fun stuff. Some things never change with this team.
