  1. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 11:47 AM) LOL, what the hell are you talking about. What don't you get................it bulls*** they are going to decertify then after it is over become a union again.................it is a shell game and fans do not buy the bulls*** period! Fehr dam near ruined baseball and is doing a hell of a job at doing the same with the NHL, people have seen this movie before.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 22, 2012 -> 04:56 PM) You do realize this is just a negotiation tactic, right? Yes and it is nonsense to think people are that stupid to buy the bulls***.....................same thing when the NFLPA did it. If season is lost again I hope fans boycott buying tickets to the games and watch them at home.
  3. RIP.............. sorry things seemed to him that suicide was the only way out!

  5. QUOTE (Sox1 @ Dec 23, 2012 -> 08:55 AM) Swisher signs a 5 yr deal with Clev Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports that the Indians have signed Nick Swisher to a four-year, $56 million contract. The deal also includes a $14 million option for 2017 that will vest based on his number of plate appearances in 2016. The Rangers, Mariners and Red Sox had also been linked to Swisher, but the Indians had been looking like the favorites to land him for a while. He'll assume Shin-Soo Choo's old position in right field, with Drew Stubbs handling center and Michael Brantley left. Swisher has been a consistent power bat over the last seven seasons, averaging 26.6 home runs while just once posting an OPS south of .822. What a waste a money in Cleveland.

  11. I wish AJ nothing but the best in Texas......................thanks for 2005
  12. No word on the terms involved, but it's surprising that he wasn't able to get a multi-year deal after such a big season. Pierzynski would give the Rangers another left-handed bat and an ideal platoon partner for Geovany Soto. The soon-to-be 36-year-old batted .278/.326/.501 with 27 homers, 77 RBI and an .827 OPS this past season. Per rotoworld
  13. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Dec 20, 2012 -> 03:53 PM) Duke is a solid school, really no way to argue against that choice. If something happens to him, Duke education is worth way more than MSU. He will be one and done...............he is not going to be at Duke 4 years to graduate anyway!
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 20, 2012 -> 02:58 PM) He got an NTC in this deal. Wow after Soriano NTC fiasco...............Theo said the Cubs would not give any more NTC out............Whoops!
  15. The New York Yankees offer Brian N. Anderson CF-27 (80) Bobby Livingston SP-26 (71++) Zach Britton SP-21 (69++) Michael Main SP-20 (73+) $5,000,000 to the Atlanta Braves for Kris Medlen RP-23 (76+++)
  16. Cubs keep spending money on starters................thought they would wait 1 more year to start spending again.

  18. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 02:48 PM) Yes, chicago fans boo more than KC fans have booed their home team. Or the Jets. Or Philly. More than Philly no way!

  21. QUOTE (infallable @ Dec 19, 2012 -> 10:47 AM) What overall rating does everyone see for John Bowker of the Giants? Because I'm baffled. 95 rating...................STUD
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 18, 2012 -> 07:23 PM) According to Phil Rogers, the Sox are offering AJ one year $4 million. They obviously don't particularly care if he comes back. 2 mil too much
  23. QUOTE (forrestg @ Dec 11, 2012 -> 10:20 PM) How cheap is damn cheap. I am not a fan of his when it comes to throwing out base stealer but without that man we would be in the same predicament as the Cubs still waiting for a world series championship. We as sox fans have to pay a little respect to him. The allegiance of Aj to the managers, management, players fans should not be understated. Watching him in spring training with Ozzie etc will make you value him more. I would not be surpised if he does resign with the sox and whatever he receives I won't complain because he desrves it and it is not coming out of my pocket. Like 2 mil......................... 1 yr deal tops
