  1. The Chicago White Sox offer Jair Jurrjens SP-24 (87+) to the New York Yankees for Juan Miranda 1B-26 (81++) Jordan Zimmerman SP-21 (78++) June 30
  2. The New York Yankees offer Damon Sublett 2B-24 (67+++) David Ackerman C-21 (71+) $7,000,000 to the Los Angeles Lil Yankees for Mark Broda 3B-20 (65++++)
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 07:09 PM) So you think a better coach would have faired better even with a roster that isn't as good? If the Bears had as nice of a roster as the Packers the past 3 years, I would agree, but they haven't. Changing coaches won't change the results. Look how happy everyone was when Tice became OC. Now he is a dope. If the Bears don't address their OL, they will be lucky to go 10-6 in 2013 no matter who is coaching them. You like Lovie as coach and I do not..............NFL is a results league and Lovie's results overall not so good. Lovie If he stays next year, Offense will be in bottom 5 again as always under a Lovie coached team and we are having this conversation again next year!
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 07:04 PM) What do you mean? If Lovie is the coach they won't go to games? I thin he will be gone, but he isn't in charge of personnel, and that is why the Bears aren't in the playoffs. This year Lovie wanted 2 things............experienced backup QB and a backup RB that could play If Forte went down............he got BOTH and still could not make the playoffs. He was in on personnel decisions last off-season. Bear fans will go to games interest would be down.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 07:00 PM) I personally don't think that is the problem. Lovie took a team QBd by Rex Grossman to the Super Bowl. He is a good coach regardless of what Bears fans think. If they want to keep putting off upgrading the offensive line, the next coach will be considered an idiot by the fans as well. A good coach goes 1-7 against biggest rival and misses playoffs 5 of 6 years. I agree he is a good guy but a very average head coach...........he has had more than ample time in Chicago.
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 06:53 PM) I still don't think they will fire him. But I want Andy Reid...big time. I do not see based on results how he is retained...............he has been a failure overall.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 06:51 PM) Doesn't matter....Bears can only blame themselves. Sure the Packers sucked ass defensively and made some stupid penalties. Doesn't matter...this is on the Bears and people need to lose jobs. Two straight choke jobs. Fan base is not going to accept Lovie getting another shot at this point, that ship has sailed. He needs axed on Black Monday.
  8. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 06:48 PM) It is when you start 7-1 and miss the playoffs Bear players are in a huge comfort zone under Lovie...............time to shake it up and get some results with someone new!
  9. This is the best thing for the Bears..........................fire Lovie clean house.......1-7 last 8 vs GB........missed playoffs 5 of 6 years ............bye Hester.............Get a real O-Line and O-coordinator.
  10. Let's kiss GB ass a little more NFL...............BS call
  11. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) What do you guys think about Henry Melton handling short yardage situations in the playoffs? Uh oh, ADP being ADP. May not have to worry about it.............. If GB does not stop AP!
  12. Forte 3rd and short inside the 20 is just BRUTAL................he never seems to make it.
  13. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Dec 30, 2012 -> 12:05 PM) Yeah, I don't like you I never said I like it being this way, I HATE it another wasted year.............same kind of deal as last year as Angelo was shown the door...........a huge positive IMO.
  14. Worst thing today for Bear fans is getting in the playoffs and staying status quo, they have no chance to win the Super Bowl.............time to dump Lovie and move on. Devin Hester needs let go ASAP.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 27, 2012 -> 05:08 PM) I'd believe that more if the Sox hadn't outscored Detroit last year. So whatever it was that made up those 3 games...it wasn't the offense. So somehow, the team that scored fewer runs won the division last year. Victor Martinez will be back for Detroit do not forget that he makes a HUGE difference.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 27, 2012 -> 03:48 PM) Why? Why...............because it is not a lineup that would challenge Detroit in any way, shape or form as it is constructed today.
  17. Still December and hope changes are made before spring training because lineup is not very good.
  18. Two months ago Carlton Fisk was arrested and charged with a DUI in Illinois after allegedly driving his truck into the middle of a cornfield and then falling asleep with a bottle of vodka next to him. Today the Hall of Fame catcher pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, for which he got one year of court supervision and a $1,250 bill for court costs. Steve Schmadeke of the Chicago Tribune reports that Fisk was also found to be under the influence of prescription drugs and “will have to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation as well as counseling, and attend a victim impact panel.”
  19. I loved the time he ripped Deion Sanders for dogging it.
