  1. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 17, 2006 -> 01:52 AM) You know, my interest in the NBA is nowhere near what it was 10 years ago or so. But these playoffs have been oustanding so far. And it's only the second-round. Which makes me worry for a let down later on in the playoffs.
  2. haha I never ever rollerbladed in my life. I roller skated a few times and always hated it.
  3. It would've been awesome to see the Clippers win that one.
  4. I figured he'd be gone for a while, I just didn't know if there were any updates on him.
  5. Haha I just turned on the TV, see them in double overtime, but I missed who got injured.
  6. I'm sure this has been talked about before, but what's the word on him. Is he close to being able to come back? We need a guy like him in our bullpen I think.
  7. lol I know this is off topic here but Tony Batista just ran about 200 extra feet after beating out a throw at first base. I don't know if he thought he was out or what, but it was down right hilarious.
  8. I'd also rather have Nelson up than Logan at this time. Let him get more opportunities down in the minors.
  9. I think the Tigers are for real. I kept saying they'd slow down but I'm not so sure anymore.
  10. QUOTE(minors @ May 16, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) We are becoming overun in this country with illegals with most of them looking to get a free ride. It scares me the thought of how many terrorists have crossed over that border and will continue to cross over. Yeah, and it also scares me about how this country will look in 50 years if we don't change this now.
  11. 90's: Bo Jackson, Robin Ventura, Lance Johnson, Frank Thomas 00's: Carlos Lee, Mark Buehrle, Magglio Ordonez
  12. I suppose I'll be crazy and say the Spurs will win the series. I'm losing hope though. Their defense is terrible.
  13. I was at this game. I started jumping up and down when Pods hit that homer. I couldn't believe it, it was a shot. Pods, Crede, Mack, and Widger all had very good games today.
  14. Good to hear. I didn't see the speech but I assume no one is saying they can't come here legally. It's the illegal ones that come are the problem.
  15. This is so sad. Almost everyone loves Doug.
  16. I looks as if he is starting to figure it out. Go Brian.
  17. QUOTE(bmags @ May 14, 2006 -> 11:36 PM) usually the ticket windows are so nice about the whole bottle/can thing...one time we didn't have them and they guy just said "well, i saw you just throw them away, thats understandable"...sox ticket windows are awesome... Haha that's awesome. I want $10 off, I can buy gas or a meal at the ballpark with that.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 14, 2006 -> 04:56 PM) Thankfully he's not a Republican President. He would have blamed the lightning on Zeus and decided to invade Greece to destroy their powerful fortress on Mount Olympus. lol funny stuff. I don't know if you were really trying to mean it, or just trying to be funny, either way though it's funny.
  19. And I'm guessing he'll be right. I don't see the Pistons losing either of the next 2 games.
  20. I hate to be lazy about this, but I'm probably going to watch the movie before I start reading the book. It's too like to get it done in time for me anyways. Plus I really want to see the movie.
  21. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ May 14, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) I think it's that easy -- any can or bottle. I'm pretty sure there's a redemption site on the plaza. ok, thank you very much then. Would we just have to take it to the plaza and get $10 back then? I assume the plaza is inside, I don't remember it the last time I was there, haha.
  22. What a night, the pink bats, Uribe's great play with part of the bat flying at him, and Uribe going 3 for 4. A crazy game, but a great one. Instant classic in my book for the Sox.
  23. QUOTE(greg775 @ May 14, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) That's wild, William Tell. Are you young or an adult? You should make the drive to Chicago or KC or Detroit and see a game outside. It's amazing on a beautiful summer night. I'm 20, so I'm a young adult. And the plan is this sumer to go see the White Sox in Kansas City and also possibly in Chicago. So hopefully one or both works out. I've only seen 4 professional games.
  24. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ May 14, 2006 -> 10:56 PM) Just back from the game... That may have been the goofiest game I've ever seen! I was not happy in the first, but that's not exactly news. I had never seen a Triple Play before tonight. MB manned up nicely after a hideous first -- I was waiting for Montero; he was one pitch away, I reckon. Great job by Thome, JD, Cotts and Bobby. PINK BATS OWN!!! All in all, an entertaining two nights inside the bubble, even though things didn't exactly go as planned last night. I might go to the game tomorrow but I was wondering if you or anyone else knew anything about this Mega Mountain Dew Monday. It says lower reserved tickets are $10 off if you show a Mountain Dew can or bottle. Is it just that easy? Like bringing one and you get $10 off, or do you have to have a special can or bottle?
