  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 8, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) Do people still use half-penny's? We could use the Canadian penny if we need half pennies. They're closer to a half than a full.
  2. He's literally a hard nose player.
  3. This is going to be a boring night, no NBA, no White Sox, at least Smallville's on, haha.
  4. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 11, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) Since illegal immigrants are by definition not citizens, 0. it was a joke man, that's why I had the haha at the end.
  5. I saw this, that's just plain crazy. I wonder if there are more out there.
  6. QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ May 11, 2006 -> 01:19 PM) DC, as it is now contrived, should be made a part of Maryland. That won't happen, though, so Northsider is right that this is a decent compromise. In regards to SS2K5's argument, I don't think that the people who planned DC ever expected that there would be a substantial permanent population in the Capital City. They assumed that most of the population would be transient, and citizens of another state, so there was no reason for them to have a vote in DC. Yeah I'm sure they didn't plan the mass population Washington, D.C has. James Madison proposed 1 house member for every 30,000 people in the country I believe. That was rejected but everything else was passed eventually if I remember right for the Bill of Rights. Could anyone imagine one representitive for every 30,000 citizens. How many illegal alien representatives would there be, haha.
  7. Well considering Utah is next inline, that's why. I suppose they could have an even number (436) but might aswell not. It'd be the same way for the democrats too if the republicans got one extra, the democrats would be pissed too. This is the best way to do it. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2006 -> 11:59 AM) I guess the whole history of having the capital of the country in a nuetral area is getting tossed aside then? lol it is isn't it.
  8. I hope one day the Sox are the team in Chicago, but sadly I also think the Cubs will be more popular aslong as they have Wrigley Field.
  9. Chances are it'd be 1 Republican and 1 Democrat, not much of a difference but I guess I'm for it.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 10, 2006 -> 06:15 PM) Every number you pick comes out that way. Changing the number of times you want chocolate per week adds or subtracts 100 from the final number, and the 1756/1755 gets you the correct final 2 digits. don't ruin it for everyone now, haha
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 11, 2006 -> 10:43 AM) Timo went 3-5 with 2 home runs on Monday. Yeah, in AAA I assume.
  12. maybe we shouldn't have had a thread about this if anyone's supersticious.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 10, 2006 -> 06:16 PM) Which is why this has a thread and the Republican Congressman who got a DUI last year did not, as far as I know, have a thread of his own. I never said it was fair, I never said it was right, that's just the way it is. He's a Kennedy and he'll be in the spotlight more than most others.
  14. yeah and we have the Twins coming up who are playing some decent ball. Winning 6 of their last 9 games.
  15. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ May 10, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) I smell an 8-spot. haha let em have it, they need confidence in their struggling ways, just let them lose tomorrow.
  16. all we gotta do is hit back to back to back to back to back to back to back homeruns to have a chance. I've done this in my video game, they can do it too.
  17. QUOTE(aboz56 @ May 10, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) If the game got rained out, would Haeger be skipped? I would assume so, not sure though. Depends if they have a double header probably.
  18. I still think the Tribe will finish in 2nd, they'll get hot like the end of the season last year, but it will be too little too late. Once again the Wild Card will come from the East whether it's the Red Sox or Yankees.
