  1. QUOTE(alexgtp @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) thats right.. but i dont count west coast NL teams as MLB teams..LOL! lol that is good.
  2. Yeah that's really stupid. I've dranken half a gallon in 5 minutes and I didn't feel anything, but I've never tried the second half before.
  3. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) More than a feeling, you say? lol yep, more than a feeling.
  4. I miss Ellis Burks back in the day.
  5. Yeah I can see both sides. The Reds want to unload his contract and I don't blame them, but the Sox don't want to pick up a great deal of it because it's too risky.
  6. QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:34 PM) When you face a team's worst starter with your top starter is pitching and the other team is missing their entire outfield, we should damn well win this. So I agree we are breaking out tonight double digits to 0. Yeah it's more than a feeling, the facts back it up that we should win this.
  7. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Here is the worrysome quote. So we are still far apart in money owed. So dont blame KW, Thanks Reinsdorf. And we would have to give up a good pitching prospect. I think the money is probably a lot of it. You think Reinsdorf would be willing to play a little more for Griffey especially since the Sox should make the playoffs (holding breath on that.) He'll get money back for that and it'll bring more fans to the ballpark to see Griffey play.
  8. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) For once i am really liking what I am seeing on the sports illustrated homepage. John Donovan and Tom Verducci are pushing for the Reds to trade Griffey. It would be nice for the media to do something for the Sox besides pigeonholing all of their fans as meth-head field rushing idiots for once. yeah it would, I'd like to think the Griffey deal isn't dead, but I won't believe anything until I see him in a Sox uniform.
  9. We're going to win this. I just have a feeling.
  10. I'd take Kent easily, I love his mentality.
  11. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) White sox 2005: the rollercoaster ain't that the truth, but on rollar coasters I love going down, so it'd have to be an upside down rollar coaster for me, lol.
  12. QUOTE(SnB @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 01:14 PM) it's funny actually. i was talking to tony (from the board) online after the loss and both of us had the same situation. Our gf's contacted us after the game was over, they didn't know what had happened. And both of us said that we don't want to talk, the sox upset us too much. Tony replied with a great quote on sox fans: "we're like a family" i think that sums it up right there. Oh I know, I'm never in the mood to talk after a heart breaking loss like that. 1 fricken hit and it had to be a home run.
  13. The Sox could use a guy like Franco. Brings expirience to the time, thinking opposite field, not trying for a home run.
  14. White Sox baseball 2004-Get rid of Joe Borchard White Sox baseball Spring of 2005-Get rid of Joe Borchard White Sox baseball Fall of 2005-Bring up Joe Borchard I think that pretty much speaks for itself.
  15. Mostly everyone is starting to lose their cool, but that's because everyone cares about the White Sox so much. They'll get through this tough stretch.
  16. lol Shawn Kemp, that's good. I bet there are a couple of guys that are the father of at least 5 of them.
  17. I think KW is still with us, he played with the Sox and he's paid to make them better. He has the desire to win a World Series urgently. And I honestly do think he'll pick up a bat soon. Sure it probably won't be Griffey Jr. but someone who will make our offense better. As far as Ozuna playing leftfield, I don't want to see him playing there in the Metrodome, it's hard enough to find the ball there, let alone for him who takes bad angles on balls.
  18. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) Any man? No. A football man? Yep Doesnt Vermeil usually get a little more emotional in his contract year though? He'll get more emotional this year because it probably will be his last year.

    Amazing story

Nice story, makes me feel lucky to be able to move all of my limbs.
  20. haha I'd have to pass on that school. When close to 15% of the girls are pregnant, something must not be right in the water.
  21. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) That was Jabroni I think. He gone. wow, I didn't even realize that Jabroni was gone.
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 24, 2005 -> 10:19 AM) Brad I still believe is injuried. Yep I just realized that and edited my post.
