  1. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 01:46 AM) Maybe you could hold a bake sale or like a Summer dream tour charity fund or call up ESPN tell them your story and they will film it if they slide you some dough to do it lol yeah that'd be cool. We could do a lemonade stand and hire the little girls down the street, they'd make like 10 times as much as I would.
  2. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 01:32 AM) You guys could do pretty cheap seats, and get some good deals. Figure an average $15 per ticket, thats only $450. Its not like your going to be sitting behind homeplate or anything. Gas is what is going to kill you however. I say you could get away with the trip if you all brought 1500. Yeah I'd want to sit close at the Chicago game and he'd want to sit close at the Atlanta game otherwise sitting far away would be fine. And we're splitting this trip up basically east of the Mississippi and west of it, except Minnesota and St. Louis would be on the eastern trip. But anyways we'd come home for whatever amount of time and then get ready to go out on the western trip. This is just all talk now, I guess I'd almost want to do it all at once but that's just me.
  3. QUOTE(Bighurt52235 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 01:20 AM) $1500? To be on the road all summer, with the price of gas and food? I could be wrong, but that seems extremely low. yeah I think 1500 for the tickets is what was meant. I'd think that I'd have to save about 4000 for it just for extra money to make sure.
  4. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 01:18 AM) I've been to 16 stadiums overall.. so to answer your question, no.. but it sounds like a lot of fun. Yeah it does sound like a lot of fun, I just have to save roughly $3500 for it, lol.
  5. QUOTE(3E8 @ Aug 28, 2005 -> 01:16 AM) Quick estimate: ~$1500, mostly depending where you want to sit in each game. are you saying that just for the tickets? Because I was thinking 1200-1500 for the tickets also. Then another 2000 for food, gas, and camping.
  6. yeah it's kinda ironic that former big league teamates square off in the minors and Borchard tees off against Shingo. As for Podsednik, if he doesn't come back on Monday, I'd say he might as well wait another 2 days for the September 1st call ups.
  7. Gotta go with Contreras, Loiaza isn't even on the Yankees, we got the better deal of it.
  8. That's pretty fast. I love seeing it.
  9. My buddy has a crazy idea and wants to go to all 30 MLB ballparks in one summer. The earliest this would probably happen is 2008, right after we're done with college. We'd also probably have a third person going. I added up the mileage and it'd be anywhere from 12,000 to 13,000 miles. We'd be camping out instead of using hotels to save money. So I'm asking if anyone has done this before and if you have, if you don't mind saying what the price was I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 27, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) Jenks looks like he could be Carlos Lee's American brother. lol and the same number
  11. Let's get another series win and make it a 4 game winning streak!!
  12. I'll be happy to see Harris, Gload, Borchard, and Burke back up.
  13. QUOTE(Jake @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) I LOVE MY GRIMACE!! me too, I think he's the coolest by far.
  14. Yeah Iguchi, with number 13 on the year. Hopefully our pitching can come out and close it out.
  15. to the bottom of the 10th, come on Sox, don't ruin this night for Anderson, help the cause with a win.
  16. QUOTE(the People's Champ @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 04:13 PM) I hope they clinch on the 16th, cause I'll be there! I hope they clinch it on Saturday the 17th because I'll be there. The only time I've been to a Sox game was Saturday September 23rd, 2000 in the Metrodome, the day the Sox clinched the division with a Cleveland loss to Kansas City.
