You know stone poney I don't like this losing one bit. Now that we are losing I am going to keep quiet and when I talk I will sound grumpy. Hawk -

Well who knew that a 2-1 lead wouldn't hold. -

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 22, 2013 -> 06:42 AM) You still haven't told us what an acceptable punishment would be. A timeout and no video games for 4 weeks. -

QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 21, 2013 -> 11:21 PM) I don't see why military personnel being present is proof of guilt. I also don't see the part where those two are without backpacks because they blew them up. Or why all the lines from the two pictures of them mean anything other than that those are both pictures of them. I have a military style backpack 5.11 rush 24 with honor patches one being the punisher because I happen to like the punisher. The other patch is an american flag. The backpacks prove nothing except they like well made backpacks. Hence the reason I bought mine. My 9 year old is rocking a camo rush 12 with a spiderman honor patch and a zombie patch. I will have to alert the tinfoil society. -
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 05:44 PM) What? Are you kidding me. How many short hops and long hops and other Alexei side armed, held too long, lazy throws has Konerko scooped out of the dirt in the last couple of years. And you don't think that the regular 1st baseman who has a history of scooping these might of had more success than the utility guy we swung over there.
-
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 05:40 PM) Please. Ball bounced too far in front for it to be scooped "easily". Yes because this is the first time Konerko has handled an Alexei short hop.

Lots and lots of strikeouts.

QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 05:34 PM) Looks like our new GM is not looking great so far. His biggest signing is playing pretty damn poorly and his construction of the bench with these injuries is fairly puzzling. And some people thought there may have been some way to dump Dunn in the offseason... But, we've played what, 15 games? Lots of time left to forget all of this. The strategy is to rebuild on the fly. This strategy only works if you either tradeable assets and/or a decent minor league.
-
QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 05:31 PM) I don't think so. It was a bad throw, looked like he was unsure of whether to go to third or first. Konerko scoops that easily. He makes that play quite a bit.
-
So the only left out of the 07 formula is the pitching. If the pitching just slides a bit, then large amounts of comedic value losses are upon us. Bad defense, check Bad hitting, check Injuries, check Bad bench, check

Well thats just rich right there. Taking out Konerko pays off......for the twins.
-
Ventura just pinch ran for kong. They need to win now because our offense is just Rios now.
-
opposing teams should walk konerko and rios and pitch to the rest.
-
Another reliever being called.
-
Another walk.
-
Don't know what Rios was looking for.
-
Now CB Buckner has a tight zone.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 04:34 PM) What awful managing this inning. Did Ventura really think Veal vs Doumit was a better match-up for the Sox than Lindstrom vs the young fella in Arcia? Year 2 of learning on the job.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 04:34 PM) According to ESPN Gamecast, the Twins have a 42.5% chance of scoring here. If you flip the teams we would have a 3.6% chance.
-
Loogy in whitesox speak is walk.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 04:23 PM) Look at this lineup though. With Dunn and Keppinger struggling, you have 4 guys on it that haven proven they belong in the majors. Gillaspie 6th and Danks 8th looks more like a Spring Training lineup during the World Baseball Classic. This is an 07 ish lineup we are rocking these days.

I can't wait for the surprise on Worley's face when he faces a major league team next time.

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 12:37 PM) I'm not familiar with Gacy's incarceration, but I'd guess his case wasn't federal, and he wasn't in a super max. All prisons aren't created equal. Menard is a maximum security prison. -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Apr 20, 2013 -> 11:59 AM) I dont believe in hell, so Im not going to take the risk on a fantasy punishment for the rest of his "eternal days". I believe that when you die its peaceful like falling asleep. So solitary confinement with no chance at parole is far worse. You can be entitled your opinion. I just would rather not take the risk you are willing to. You want to take the risk that hell exists and therefore by sending him to hell quicker he gets punished more. My belief is why take a risk that hell exists? He is going to die no matter what, and if hell does exist then he is going to suffer forever, so what does it matter if its today, tomorrow or 90 years from now? From an objective standpoint, where we dont believe in mythical places like hell, life imprisonment is worse. Milkman, Life imprisonment, especially solitary, is worse than death. Death is just falling asleep and never waking up. Life imprisonment is living a nightmare every day for the rest of your days. Ill pick the latter. Nothing is really going to convince me otherwise. Maybe we can get him some cable, a nice workout program, access to the library, Internet access. Maybe he could learn to paint like John Wayne Gacy. They could share the same letterhead "execute the law not the people". Odd though, Gacy seemed to fight death instead of embracing the "falling asleep" easy path.
