QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 08:54 PM) You have to get him early and pile it on cause otherwise guys likwe him settle into a good rythm and we can't seem to break it Are you watching the game. Zambrano has no rythm. He is throwing meatball after meatball up there. A good hitting team has sent Zambrano to the showers already.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) Where's the heart with this White Sox team in 2011? We could have stepped all over the Cubs and we let them back into the game. Jesus. Our team whole heartedly believes that there is no reason to worry. That they can sail along cashing checks and the rest of the division will just wait around. Its a long season, no reason to worry until September 15th. Look at our lineup. The manager can't control himself and puts a stacked lefty lineup of old and the crappy. He must live in some area where time is frozen. That players dont age, and slappy is better than power. I for one would of liked to see what Viciedo does tonight against Zambrano. But we get the slap and tickle show.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 07:53 PM) Crap. Neither of those 2 runs would have scored had Brent Morel been at 3rd. And it would have saved Gavin 10 pitches. Well Dusty Guillen needs to make sure that he can purge the lineup of as many young players are possible. I wonder how long the Juan Pierre and Omar slappy show will keep in play. Wednesday we have to send someone down to make room for Peavy. I wonder if Guillen and KW will send Beckham down so they can start Omar full time.

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 03:55 PM) Don't look now but Minnesota won again. For like the 20,000,000 time in a row. They are not out of it and I would not be surprised if they are in second or third place by the break. We can't beat the Rochester Red wings at the moment. The twins would really put a beating on us. Our own damn fault. We keep handing them lifelines instead of the beat downs they deserve. -

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) If Pierre can be an every day player in Ozzieworld then so can Lillibridge . More power better defense probably better speed too. Well one has been the vision of someone's wet dream since 2003. -

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 02:14 PM) You have 25 players. They all deserve to play once in awhile Pierre has played in enough games this year. He can sit for lillibridge for a month or two. -

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 12:07 PM) he has done that and he hasn't been benched. I blame Ozzie everyday he's in the line-up, but at this point this is on KW, he needs to be DFA'd and taken away from Ozzie. Rongey was on Whitesox weekly going into a with what they pay Pierre giving him away for nothing would be wasteful. It's better to keep him around in the hopes that he can provide some value. Looks like bagdad bob got him marching orders and is filling the airwaves with this wisdom. -
Pakistani's tip off bad guys.

If Dayan Viciedo is called up before August

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:59 AM) Ozzie officially has no f*cking clue: Pierre: .316/.451/.784 this season vs. Lefty pitching Splits. You are funny. The hand a person favors dictates match ups. Not your silly stats.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:53 AM) Oh s***, just jumped on Twitter. That's the truth. Well, f***, at least it's something different. It's not Viciedo, but it's some sort of shake-up at least. it's not a shake up. We are facing a lefty. It's the arbitrary I can give aj and jp a day off.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:51 AM) Young slappy leadoff guys can be OK. 2003 Juan Pierre was a good baseball player. It sucks when the guy is old, bad, slow, and can't catch. And I'm not endorsing trading Viceido, just saying that the right leadoff guy can be helpful, just not the one the Sox currently have. We play in the American League. I don't want track stars that generate outs and look busy and don't produce s***. We need young hitters who can hit XBHs and drive in runs. -

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:37 AM) Probably when we're 10+ games out again. Which will definitely happen soon if this team doesn't start hitting. You can't survive in the NL, let alone the AL, with so many Skippy Handleman clones in your lineup. The fear is that we will use Viciedo to go out and get a new younger slappy leadoff guy. Look at our recent drafts. Lots of speed guys being selected with the high picks. -
WTF are we waiting for ? Call up Viciedo !

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:32 AM) That's a decent theory. Teams all around baseball are calling up their young studs now that the 'Super 2' deadline has passed. We've got some of the worst everyday players in baseball taking up space yet we can't find room for one of the top hitters in all the minor leagues. And another thing...why the hell does Lillibridge have 1 PA since he basically won the game last Saturday against the A's? This organization. Oh my goodness. Lillibridge will get his once a week start because a lefty is pitching tomorrow. Then it will be Pierre getting outs in bunches on Sunday. -

Traded to the mets for Carlos Beltran. It's just dumb enough to fit our management. -
Daniel Hudson just bent KW over and violated him.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 18, 2011 -> 12:24 AM) I hate to say it. But if we were going to lose, this is what I would've preferred. A 10-8 slugfest wouldn't have sufficed. This was sweet poetic justice and caps what was an embarrassingly, short-sighted, joke of a trade. Edwin was alright. He was pretty much routine: start slow, look good for a few innings, then ultimately have to leave the game because his command is always horses***. 112 pitches in 6 1/3 IP. That's too much. It's like when Iverson would need 30 shots to get 30 points. How often does Edwin get up on a guy 0-2 then ultimately have to throw 4-6 more pitches just to finish him off? He's so maddening. As for the offense, other than PK, wow. July is right around the corner and we have SIX, yes, SIX blackholes in the everyday lineup. Teams like Boston and Tampa started out really slow, especially offensively. You see how they've recovered. This is just a really bad organization right now. And the future looks as bleak as it has, for me at least, since 1995. Wait till we trade Viciedo for that stellar speedy vet or that reliever that will push us over the top. Prospect never win games, all in. -

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 11:35 PM) If Ozzie had any brains and/or Kenny had any balls, Viciedo would be starting in the OF for the Sox by now. The longer he stays in AAA, the more he looks like a trade chit when Kenny goes all in. Logic would have him up by now. The only reason to keep him down pounding the crap out of the ball is to max his value without risking damaging it by bringing him up. -
