  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 06:07 PM) On our way to the 10th. Can we eak out a 4th run.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 06:05 PM) how in the f*** do you not throw an 0-2 curveball? f*** that! Its typical AJ. Late in games when you get a man on third he is worried about blocking the plate. He calls a lot of elevated fastballs. Its a s***ty pitch call.
  3. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 06:01 PM) How much longer can we keep sending Bobby out their, if he's going to keep doing this? How many balls have been hit hard. Lets not act like he is getting rocked out there.
  4. He has 3 pinch hits this year. Thats more than our entire team.
  5. Our pitching has been good enough to win all 3 games here. If our offense decides to show up during this stretch would be nice.
  6. Nice job Jenks. Everything was moving on those pitches.
  7. QUOTE (Capn12 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 05:26 PM) AJ having a game. What kind of name is Fu-Te Ni? You should see the names of his two sisters. Fuk Me and Fuk Yu
  8. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 04:51 PM) At this point, yes. I've been comparing him offensively to Derek Jeter in his prime for a while now. Thats who I think of when I watch him hit. He is a guy thats going to piss off a lot of pitchers and opposing fans in our division. He will be the guy you don't want to face late in games. The type of hitter we have missed for a while here.
  9. I want to know how long it will take Quentin to start hitting consistently again.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 04:31 PM) It's not like Alexei's been bad in that spot. Getz and Beckham together are probably moving up in the order real quick next year. Beckham has a much higher OBP than Alexei. He sees more pitches, takes a walk, is hard to strikeout, has a high contact rate and looks to be a high average, line drive type hitter. He would be dangerous in the 2 hole. Where as Alexei has a hard time hitting breaking pitches, doesn't walk, and has a medicore OBP.
  11. QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 04:28 PM) Any chance Lexi and Beckham switch stops in the lineup? The idea of Beckham getting more pitches to hit and more fastballs is exciting considering at the bottom of the lineup, there is no protection. To answer your question. No. That won't happen. Unfortunately.
  12. Thats more like it. Stringing some hits together in this inning.
  13. Beckham is a doubles machine. I want Ramirez to switch hitting spots with him.
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 04:22 PM) Am I the only one who thinks Verlander did not pitch well at all? We totally let him off the hook. I agree. We had him at 73 pitches after 4 innings. I didn't think he was going to last past the 6th. Then the first pitch hunting started.
  15. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 03:58 PM) That was the worst game of the 3 so far. Verlander could have been on the hook if half those balls drop. Part of the reason Verlander only had like 20 pitches in the 5th, 6th, and 7th was because we nailed everything he threw but we couldn't catch a break and have any drop. Yet every f***ing run the Tigers scored was on a bloop over a glove or down the lines. This series has been horrible. I can live with Verlander beating us. Bonine beating us with what he featured up at the plate is another thing, We should of crushed him with the lineup we trotted out last night. That was an unfortunate loss.
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 03:54 PM) It's also ridiculous how many breaks the Tigers have caught this series with bloops, errors, walks, and hard hit comebackers. When you walk people and commit errors you really restrict your ability to consistently win.
  17. Anytime Ramirez wants to start hitting again is fine by me.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 03:41 PM) It's all Greg Walker. He must have told Carlos that he should hit 50 home runs instead of 40 and that the only way he accomplishes this is to try to pull every ball he sees. Well if he keep pulling everything and putting the first pitch in play, he will hit about .230.
  19. Quentin is doing his best to see the least amount of pitches humanly possible.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 03:35 PM) Somebody needs to tell Gavin to stop f***ing around and go after the hitters. Walking Granderson after going 0-2? Looks like A.J. got too obsessed with trying to get him out on a breaking pitch. Well it would be 1 -0 only if Konerko catches a ball hit to him.
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 03:30 PM) With a terrible defense like this we have little chance to win it all this year. We have committed 9 errors against the Tigers coming into today. One of the many reasons they lead the season series. Lets see if the sleepy bats can wake up for more than an inning or two today. Konerko was tipping his cap to bonine yesterday. Probably the only team that will be hat tipping to that bad pitcher.
  22. 2nd run that shouldnt of scored if Konerko fielded his position earlier in the inning scores. We excel at giving the opponent extra outs and extra runs.
  23. QUOTE (ChiSox420* @ Jul 25, 2009 -> 03:26 PM) Horrible pitch selection Floyd hit the target, AJ just picked a bad place to put the target up.
