  1. Cotts and Riskes favorite Tom and Jerry character. Nibbles.
  2. I love it when we bring the poop part of our bullpen out so we can get save situations for our closer. How nice of the poopers to pitch in.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) I really didnt even think that would be possible this year, but its looking more and more like that is what needs to happen. Either he has completely lost it, or hitters have just figured him out. Either way, he isn't cutting it on the major league roster. Hopefully Cotts can put this season behind him, come back strong next season. They need to teach him at least one more pitch. If he could learn to throw a cutter it would help him with righties. A slider would help him with lefties.
  4. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:44 PM) Is it obvious to anyone else that his arm angle is all off. He is flattening out his wrist on delivery. Anyone? His problem is that he gets behind everyone and is pretty much a fastball pitcher. When you get ahead 0-2 or 1-2 you can then go up the ladder. When you are 3-2 and 3-1 and people know that you are only throwing a fastball, you are more likely to get rocked.
  5. I think its time for Neal to learn another pitch besides the fastball. I mean the meatball is something he picked up this year, but he throws it every pitch. Cotts needs to go down for a bit and learn how to pitch again.
  6. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:40 PM) I thought it was f***ing pussy boy. That works also.
  7. This is why Mr I let inherited runners score like crazies ERA is over 8 for the month of August.
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) PFB...? Pink Fuzzy Bunny. He is more like a mall easter bunny than anything.
  9. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) So, the Ranger's not on your friends' list eh? Nope the PFB is not on my personal favorites list.
  10. And the funny thing will be the amount of spin the PFB on the post game show will make of the Joey Cora play. He will say "I dont necessarily agree with the play, but Joey has been aggressive all year long and we wouldnt be in this position without his aggressiveness" Then he will hand out some useless gift card to the first moron that calls in agrees with him.
  11. QUOTE(knightni @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) Cora almost did it again... Cora needs to be a bench coach. He can sit next to Ozzie they can keep each other company. Ozzie can say crazy things, Joey can agree with him. And then we can hire someone that wont be a windmill over at 3rd.
  12. QUOTE(Allsox @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) C'mon Brian, need a base hit in the worst way! Let's bury Tampa right here! We buried Tampa already. Then Freddy took his shovel, dug them out, dusted them off.
  13. If I see a post game quote of "It takes a perfect throw to make that play" No Joey. I bet the little league WS champs from Georgia would of pegged Kong out on that play. Now granted he out weighs them by 150 pounds so he could still plow the 12 year old. AJ Doubles, thanks Joey. You truly are a gem on this team. And this guy manages in the winter league. Make sure Anderson is on another team.
  14. Pull o matic Paulie walks. Now Crede is up. Its time for Crede to give us some padding.
  15. QUOTE(fullcollapse @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) i'd feel a lot better if i wasn't sure freddy would be back out to start the 7th Or that Damaso Cotts wasnt option A out of the pen.
  16. I just want to know if Freddy is rearing back and cruising a 86 mph fastball, why does it take him so long to get rid of the ball. Its not like he needs the extra time and drive to get it to 86. He can adopt a slide step anytime now.
  17. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 09:00 PM) Hey, shutup, he's a big game pitcher. He pitches well against the national league this year. Against the american league, not so good. I guess the Yankees, Boston, Minny all dont count as big games during the pennant race.
  18. Thank God we have the experience of a Freddy Maddux coming down the stretch. He knows how to win big games down the stretch for us. Brandon would never pitch with the tenacity and skill that Freddy Maddux throws out there. /sarcasm
  19. QUOTE(Allsox @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 08:59 PM) Offense needs to go back to work?!? THEY SCORED SEVEN RUNS WITH THOME OUT! THAT SHOULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH! Well 7 runs are usually enough, but with Mr. 88 mph junk baller Freddy Maddux. You need like 16 to be safe.
  20. I cant wait till Freddy is wearing another uniform. He is given a big lead and Mr Intensity cant f***ing close the game out.
  21. The sentence: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" uses every letter of the alphabet.
  22. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 06:06 AM) Hey gang, I need your help. My computer's battery has been on the fritz lately holding a little charge to the point where it wouldn't even charge up when I docked it back in the AC power supply. I got a blue screen of death saying something about my battery but I don't remember exactly what it was. I have a Dell Inspiron 8600. I recently got a new battery. I put the battery in and the battery light is on acknowledging that it is there, but it does not blink to show it is charging.. The system will not charge it and it just says "Running on AC power" with a consistent 33% charge rather than charging it fully up to 100%. It's been in 12+ hrs. now and not a single budge. Any ideas on how to get the batt to start receiving a charge? (Note: the AC adapter is still good as it is running the computer now) Sometimes on the Dells I have run into a problem with the power socket where the power pin is either broken or has become disconnected from the mother board. It has something similiar as far as wont be able to charge up the battery, but the battery shows active. I would give Dell a jingle and see if that is a problem with that particular model of Inspiron.
  23. QUOTE(Steff @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) I just went to Wendy's to pick up some lunch. I got a plain grilled chicken filet and a small chili and barely got them both down. The woman in front of me got a double cheesburger with bacon, a biggie size fry and drink, and a frosty. I would explode if I ate all that food. She probably had a diet coke also, because she is watching her weight. Its real simple, and its hard for most people to understand. There is a proper amount of calories that your body is meant to run on for your body type/activity level. If you go over that, your body turns it into long term storage. Putting it on is very easy for most people, just eat more calorie wise than you are supposed to take in on a daily basis and sure enough with no activity you will put it on. However the amount of energy to burn that same weight put on is magnified a bunch. When you exercise in a good cardio range after say 20 minutes, your body then mines that storage and turns it into simple forms of glucose to run your system. Anything less than that and your body just uses what is in the blood supply. So the lady chows that all down, drinks her diet coke and feels freshed that she didnt go over, and then walks at night for 10 minutes barely breaking a sweat and then gets confused that her exercise program isnt taking off the pounds.
