  1. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 10:09 PM) This is the worst loss for the White Sox since the game in 2003 that Loaiza started against the Twins when he had a cold. Were is the cheerleader to tell us that everything is alright. Oh he is just about to get on the radio to give us diatribes about confidence.

  4. Mauer looks at his wrist, low and away breaking pitch in the dirt. Its on there at least 40 times for strategy for whitesox right handers.
  5. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 10:03 PM) Was Gload playing up on that Punto liner with 2 outs? I thought that is what Farmer said. He was up on the grass. Taking away a bunt i guess.
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 10:02 PM) How the f*** does Willie f***ing Eyre get away with all of these s***ty ass, right down the middle pitches? Meanwhile, Nick f***ing Punto hits a letter high 97 MPH fastball for a basehit. Honestly, what the f***. Punto was slapping at the ball, while our guys were picking out cars on the dan ryan to crush with their homers.
  7. Uribe's kicked ball is the game killer here. Dye would of walked that off. But fumblesticks kicked the ball.
  8. You see our catchers get confused, I think they mess up the scouting reports. They throw away to the right handers. Thats how you beat our team, not the twins. The twins dont pull the ball that much, you should pitch them inside.
  9. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:53 PM) This is what I wish the Sox could do in late innings Thats not whitesox baseball. We pull and lift son. We dont play that sissy ball, single bunt and single to score runs. Nothing is more dramatic than a long magestic home run.
  10. Mr. I smile without showing Teeth singles quickly. Maybe the sox hitters should take some video of him with 2 strikes, and then process it for pre-game prep tomorrow. You do not need to hit the dramatic home run when tied in the bottom of a ending inning when you. Smily is over at 2nd, due to a bunt. Fundamental baseball. Now I know this isnt a bunch of guys swinging for the fences, but yet the winning run is on 2nd with 1 out.
  11. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:49 PM) f*** I have to go to a movie now Code for prep for the post game show. /sarcasm
  12. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:48 PM) BA gave it a ride. You would think that we would have the upper hand in a longer game as far as bullpens go at this point, but I don't feel safe going too long. Everyone wants to be the walk-off hero. Walk off single and walk off homer both count for 1 win, guys. We started swinging for the fences the minute Johan threw the first pitch. Why would we stop now.
  13. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:46 PM) Juan's going for the walkoff.... He swings at a pitch level with his neck and pops it up. Nice approach.
  14. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:45 PM) Pathetic 3-1 swing. DONT NEED A HOMER Profundo Uribe says you are wrong. he is swinging for the Dan Ryan. He wants to be on sportscenter.
  15. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) How are all these people still in this thread? Several of you just proclaimed the game and the season over not 10 minutes ago. Control yourself. I know you just put down the pom poms after being thrilled that your wish was granted, but rubbing peoples noses in it over is getting you plenty of good feel here. We all wanted the home run and we all want the sox to win every game. But sitting here and saying that they are going to crush Johan or Nathan because you had a dream, a feeling, or saw signs in your soup is a bit much.
  16. Bobby for the 10th Thorton for the 11th and 12th. Then Mac in the 13th and 14th. Then Riske Then Pablo before Cotts.
  17. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) I'm really not sure how people really put that much stock in Boof Bonser, Carlos Silva and a 1-armed Brad Radke. I just don't get it. August team ERA Minny with 1 armed Radke, boof bonser and silva 3.71 Sox with full healthy starters 4.27
  18. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) This was just before they came to Chicago and almost swept us, when they were on their hottest tear of the season. Is my point hitting home quite yet? Can you explain the anomaly in your logic that is KC against us. They just came in here, and split a series with us.
  19. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) I don't expect them to win tonight I don't expect them to win tomorrow This does not affect my perception of their playoff chances I do not believe that Boof Bonser, Carlos Silva and a 1-armed Brad Radke are noticably more effective than any of our three starters over the long haul. Sorry. Check the twins team ERA and then take a glance at ours.
  20. Is there lead weights on his legs. How does the fast guy, get thrown out on that play by 3 steps.
  21. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) Sox fans, of all people, should know that @Tampa Bay is about a country mile more difficult than vs. Tampa Bay. And KC is the worst road team in baseball, and Runnynose Hernadez is a bum, and they started a guy who is back on the DL.
  22. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) it just doesn't make any sense whatsoever to make generalized, idiotic presumptions with over 30 games left in the regular season it is absolutely irrational, there is just no other way to put it baseball is an extremely streaky game, and 30 games is well more than enough for fortunes of an entire division to change ask the tigers how they're feeling about their playoff chances after going 5 for their last 18 You know whats irrational. Watching our pitching over the first 3/4s of a season and then stating remarks like this. I would say that the Tigers feel better about their playoff chances than the 3rd place whitesox. What besides your gut feel and whitesox hat tells you that the crappy pitching over the first 3/4 of a season is an illusion, and our team is just going to flip a switch and poof they will make it. I base my feelings on watching the whitesox over the course of a lifetime, not just reviewing the Comcast WS video from last year. Just because Freddy Garcia stood on the mound in last years game in a 1-0 win, doesnt mean that 88 mph Freddy is the same guy. Contreras is a shadow of last years guy. Politte is gone, Hermy is not here. Eject the DVD and move back into reality with the rest of us. If they win great, however to expect them to win against a guy who has owned them like no other closer has owned them is wishful thinking at best. It defies logic.
