  2. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) Depends on how you really felt about her.. I was with my girlfriend for about 3 1/2 years when we split and I still think about her all the time.. I dont know if I could ever let her go, it sucks man I know exactly how you feel.. You can try to move on and get over her but if you have strong feelings for her I dont know if you are going to be able to do it.. I cant at least.. How long ago did you guys split?
  3. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 12:19 PM) http://www.azcentral.com/sports/diamondbac...19dbnb0319.html Look for this to happen a lot over the season. He is 90 years old afterall. Then Contreras must be 120, he looks at least 43.
  4. Scroll to near the bottom. I hope he's ok, he'll always have a special place in Sox history for that playoff inning against the Bo Sox. http://www.suntimes.com/output/deluca/cst-spt-deluca191.html
  5. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 07:48 AM) I watched "A History of Violence" last night, and i dont think I have been that dissapointed in a long time. Basically, that movie sucked balls if you ask me. The acting was awful, the plot REALLY REALLY sucked(how can you kill Ed Harris after 10 minutes of screen time? That guy was the only good thing the movie had going. ). Overall, I give it * out of ****. Probably late and been discussed, but I dont care. C'mon dude, make an effort, it's on the previous page 'A History of Violence' is a wierd, mixed bag. Great performance by William Hurt and Ed Harris was good as usual. Unfortunately, they have the smallest roles in the film. The kid who played Mortensen's son was awful and there was some hot sex thrown in at some awkward times. Overall, predictable and average, luckily it doesn't drag on for three hours. Hurt's performance makes it tolerable.
  6. Pratt, I'm not gonna sugar coat it for you. What you are going through sux, hard. A month is not a long time, so it will probably get even worse for you. You will hit absolute rock bottom, you might even stay down there for a while. Allow that to happen, it's a part of healing. But then, guess what? It very, very slowly gets better. One day you'll wake up and realize that for the first time in a long time, you don't feel worse than you did the day before. You might not feel better, but at least you won't feel worse than you did the day before. Then slowly, every day you'll feel a little less worse. One day you'll be ok, heck you might even look back on this incident and laugh.
  7. QUOTE(chisoxfan14 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 01:12 PM) Oh no...why are these people sharing this...get there 3 hours early, get food, then head to the 3rd base side for autographs! psh, people aren't supposed to knwo this inadvance! crap The place is open THREE hours before game time?
  8. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) Exactly, gotta bring the kids to ballgames. It doesn't necessary have to be baseball, but it could be any other sport. Best times spent as a kid are with dad at a game. .....and you don't HAVE to drop $300 to do it either. One of my absolute favorite things about the park is when you see a kid there and you can tell it's his or her 1st time at a ML park. That wide eyed look of pure and geniune joy is priceless......sorry I digress once again.
  9. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 18, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) Some people should just not respond. Every time I read about a kid who goes ape s*** and shoots like 17 people, the first thing that pops into my mind is: Not enough ballgames with dad.
  10. My pick was Venezuela, now it's Cuba Libre.

  14. "Also, for all you Irish Catholics out there, The Cardinal said it's ok to eat meat today. So you can eat all the corned beef you want." I'm not Irish, but I'm Catholic and practice lent, I'll stick to fish today.

  17. It's The Pogues and Mr. Shane McGowan all day today! Well jimmy played harmonica in the pub where I was born He played it from the night time to the peaceful early morn He soothed the souls of psychos and the men who had the horn And they all looked very happy in the morning Now jimmy didn’t like his place in this world of ours Where the elephant man broke strong men’s necks When he’d had too many powers So sad to see the grieving of the people that he’s leaving And he took the road for God knows in the morning We walked him to the station in the rain We kissed him as we put him on the train And we sang him a song of times long gone Though we knew that we’d be seeing him again (far away) sad to say I must be on my way So buy me beer and whiskey ’cause I’m going far away (far away) I’d like to think of me returning when I can To the greatest little boozer and to sally maclennane The years passed by the times had changed I grew to be a man I learned to love the virtues of sweet sally maclennane I took the jeers and drank the beers and crawled back home at dawn And ended up a barman in the morning I played the pump and took the hump and watered whiskey down I talked of whores and horses to the men who drank the brown I heard them say that jimmy’s making money far away And some people left for heaven without warning We walked him to the station in the rain We kissed him as we put him on the train And we sang him a song of times long gone Though we knew that we’d be seeing him again (far away) sad to say I must be on my way So buy me beer and whiskey ’cause I’m going far away (far away) I’d like to think of me returning when I can To the greatest little boozer and to sally maclennane When jimmy came back home he was surprised that they were gone He asked me all the details of the train that they went on Some people they are scared to croak but jimmy drank until he choked And he took the road for heaven in the morning We walked him to the station in the rain We kissed him as we put him on the train And we sang him a song of times long gone Though we knew that we’d be seeing him again (far away) sad to say I must be on my way So buy me beer and whiskey ’cause I’m going far away (far away) I’d like to think of me returning when I can To the greatest little boozer and to sally maclennane
  18. QUOTE(bmags @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 10:56 AM) i think you underestimate their popularity...i mean i'm suprised how popular morrissey is...(considering since viva hate i consider all his stuff to be pretty MEH) and add johnny marr back into that mix...i think they might be more popular now in america than before... I hate the whole Smiths-Morrisey-Cure sound. Whiny, dickless crap. There, I feel better.
  19. Thx a lot Oz. Now we'll have to hear things like: "even your own manager said it's a Cub town"......not that we care.
  20. I might wait til the price goes up on the 3 day passes and then put mine up on ebay.
  21. Yawn, we've seen Borch get red hot before and then he goes ice cold even faster.
  22. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 09:44 AM) a waste of money these days. good stuff.
  23. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Mar 17, 2006 -> 09:26 AM) Slainte'!! Celtic with a K sound, definately. With the crap tastes of the young folk I wouldn't be surprised if Bud is outselling Guinness, at least in urban centers in Ireland. Same thing is happening to cask ale sales in England and if not for the Campaign for Real Ale consumer advocate group, cask conditioned ale would likely be extinct. so what the hell is a Boston Seltic?
